I agree with you, John. I know two who were on the public dole until they found jobs, and now they aren't - they were even embarrassed to be on it to begin with, but had no choice. But I am 100% certain that there is a growing "deadwood" class and Obama and his minions are cultivating it as fast as they can. It really angered me to to find out that illegal aliens collected $7.2 Billion this year in tax refunds when most did not pay anything in. All they had to do was get a "Tax ID" (it works as SSN for tax purposes) then fill out a refund request entering 4, 5 and 6 children when they have NONE and EARNED IMCOME CREDIT (which is more welfare) pays out like you hit the Jackpot- and Obama's upper echelons direct the IRS to ignore it - just look the other way. 100 to 200 at a time were using the same supposed US addresses as their legal residence. I am a software engineer - the IRS can run a simple program to give all the refund requests where the same address is used by more than 10. BUT THEY DO NOT DO IT AS DIRECTED by Obama's henchmen. The Fair Tax would eliminate the IRS almost completely (get rid of 98% of it, anyway).
