The schools are communist indoctrination centers, no wonder Chairman Obamao, the envious one of Immelt's working Communist Chinese government, was elected by an illiterate and identured electorate. We have passed the tippinng point, more takers than makers voting for the demise of the Republic. Atlas has indeed shrugged, and it will now take total colapse, brought on by the treasonous Cloward Piven community organizers, who mean to rule after the end they work to accomplish. What they haven't counted on, or addressed yet, is an armed populace that outnumber them. That could, and most likely will be, a huge problem for them.

"The Communists have won in America with Obama. ... Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society." - Xavier Lerma
So true, especially the second part of that statement about "illiterate society". It is a very sad statement about the state of Americans today. So many don't give a damn about their freedoms anymore, they are content with the government handouts and being told what to say, and what to believe, and what to accept as normal.
Do you believe its time for a change?

Today's Republicans are not conservative. They try to talk the talk but look at their record: They ran up the debt by $4T+ under Bush - two tax cuts while fighting two wars, drug program without paying a dime toward the cost all this on our children's and grand children's credit. We stick our nose in other countries business like the busybody next door. If you don't like the policies of country x and they're exporting terrorism, we have systems to deal with that if you have the spine to employ them; otherwise, stay on the porch.

I agree with you on repbus not being conservative. That wee willie was spineless in not taking out OBL. I disagree with you on 2-wars. It is one war: Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). If you follow WW2, you will see there was fighting in North Africa, Italy, Southern France, Europe, China-Burma, India, South Pacific, Southwest Pacific, Central Pacific and a few others. All these were either campaigns or Theaters of Operations. GWOT is at least 2 campaign areas Iraq and Afghanistan. I have a GWOT Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and an Afghanistan Campaign Medal. I do not use the small minded liberal inflationary words, by calling it 2-wars. It is not. Most American do not even have an idea of what a war is. I love it when the news talks about a 3 hour "Battle" that is really nothing more than a fire fight or skirmish. Unfortunately or fortunately no country in their right mind saves up to go to war. Money is always borrowed for the excution of war.

You say that G. W. Bush was "spineless" on taking out OBL. According to an account by a CIA agent who was working with special forces and Afghan units in the mid-2000's, we had OBL trapped several times, but each time, a few bribes to selected Afghan units cause the traps to collapse. It wasn't for lack of will or effort on our part; we were working with unreliable allies.

MNice: I can tell by your post you have not been to Aghanistan. The culture there has a code called Pashtun Walli. As long as a traveler has not commited any "sin" against the village, then he is afforded, protection, shelter, food and water when requested. If a "sin" is committed then there is bedal (sp?). So yes, because of the Afghan culture OBL could exploit Pashtun Walli to get away or bribe his way. This culutre has nothing to do with GWB. GWB gave the leadership to go after OBL. BHO made a "decision" already made by GWB so BHO does not get a "gold star" for something GWB started the correct direction. WJC was spineless to kill OBL. If you do not know the story behind the ALAM strikes during WJC administration, then research it. The Aghan are corrupt, I know from first hand. It is what you deal with in a 3rd world country. If you see any 3rd world country from the POV of American, then you are not seeing it correctly. I was in Afghanistan in the mid-2000's. So calling GWB spineless because of the Afghan culture is like blaming the pig for the cow not giving enough milk.

TO: United States Congressional Republicans
SUBJECT: “WHERE IS THE REPUBLICAN CLIFF ”RED CAN” LINE?
America viewed the “fiscal cliff” comments on Wednesday by Rep Boehner, Cantor, et al. Suffice to say, we saw little heart, less enthusiasm, in short more of the same dialogue and weak rhetoric.
America is looking for a concrete RED CAN LINE statement by House and Senate Republicans that leaves no doubt as to the principle conservatives will not cross. Pin Obama to the wall, require him to “fish or cut bait”
It can be said that republicans share the fiscal mistakes made in the past that put America at the cliff. However, republicans refuse, based on the United States Constitution, moral obligations to “we the people” to advance taxes and allow continued out-of-control debt spending threatening national security. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, FISCAL INSANITY MUST END. America will accept the pain for right reasons.
Obama will comment, snicker, reflect arrogance, pass gas, talk down to Congress, and make weak threats as to republican accountability. Boehner must not wilt, weep, or get weak kneed…respond in courage that America deserves truth, a Congress that will make a sacrificial move toward fiscal sanity. If there is blow-back, it won’t be for taking the wrong action for America.
The RED CAN LINE will be held now and also during “debt ceiling” decisions. TAKE US OVER THE CLIFF IF YOU MUST BUT DO NOT SURRENDER PRINCIPLE.

Very WELL said Mr.Riley, but the unfortunate truth is that the CURRENT republican "leadership" Boehner in particular, has NO courage to do that as evidenced by the current purging of conservatives that do not go along with their liberal agenda from numerous commities and their only reason for that is to ensure their own re-election and to hell with the country about which they care not.

Excellent commentary but unfortunately it shows that this country is already lost which I have believed since that day in November 2008 when Obama was elected. A new term should be used to describe those who support and or depend on Obama, governmentalists, those who either through their work or through handouts depend on the government for their lifestyles and will support it no matter what picture of the future is presented. Thank God I do not have childred or grandchildren who will have to suffer because of the greed and corruption of our current government.

Saw this comment in a other post and thought it was appropriate to the discussion. History! That is a perspective that Americans lack in schools. The answer to the confusing behavior of your President Obama is easily explained. You even hear it in your language in political conversation but I don't think you know the origins. And strangely it is missing here in Russia and Ukraine, but it got its origins in Germany. It is called "Moral Relativism" or moral equivocation.
Emile Durkheim was a friend and influence of Karl Marx. He wrote that a poor person (perhaps society) should be punished less than a rich person (society) who has committed the same crime, because society has already punished them. I did 15 minutes of research and found Obama is a fan of this Communist theory. "A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court" was written by Bill Ayers. Obama wrote the praised review of this book in the Chicago Tribune. The book is nothing but a treatise on Emile Durkheim's paper. Poor Blacks and Latino's should be punished less because society has abused them. Do you not think his "Anti-Colonialist" views also incorporate this perspective? America you are bad because you have freedoms and riches. The barbarians are good, because you hurt them, and exploit from them, so they are poor! It is your fault that they are poor and medieval. This is how he thinks. It is funny to me that your communists, the Progressives, adapt some of Marx basic principles more intensely than the Soviet Union. Your nation is being poisoned slowly by arsenic!

This is in stark contrast to the laws of justice given by Moses: "You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his dispute. ... You shall not pervert the judgment of your poor in his dispute. Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked. And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous." Exodus 23: 1-3,6-8

As to who/what "Neocons" are/came from: The term was first used in the 1920's to describe a faction of the Demcorat Party that was speaking out against the Communist ("progressive") influence. By the late 1950's the "Neocons", having lost their battle within the Democrat party, had, mostly, all left the Democrats and had joined the Republican party. The Neocons now have a firm grip on the GOP. In other words, the GOP is being run by Democrats and the Democrat Party is being run by Communists. Is it really any wonder that the USA is moving toward socialism at such break-neck speeds? Is it really any wonder that the GOP is purging what's left of the true Republicans? Is it realy any wonder that Ron Paul was so marginalized and demonized by both "sides"?... They are one and the same.

Way back in 1964, after graduation from a University, with a degree in Forest, I took a job with the US Fish & Wildlife Service. It was shortly after taking that job, we were required to spend our lunch period watch a move were President LBJ was stating to the nation that he was eliminating all sorts of government jobs and saving billions of dollars. A few days later, a janitor came around with a razor blade and scraped off the names of some divisions off the doors and changed that name to another existing division. On paper, it look as though hundreds of people were gone, but not one person was eliminate. Yes, that division was eliminate, but the employees from that division were just incorporated into another division. That is when I learned about the "Government Fast Shuffle." I subsequently left the service over a 'Hatch Act" incident. That is another story.

mark, i like the term "neo-com"; however, you will notice the striking similarity to the word that you coined it from, ie "neo-coN". the similarity is not just in the word; but in the REALITY that both produce. that reality being slavery under tyranny; one more fascist, the other more communist; both absolutest and totalitarian... BOTH enemies of a free people. let us not forget that it was gw2 that launched the ill-named "patriot act", basically reducing the constitution to toilet paper, that it was abe lincoln who authorized the scorched earth 'slaughter, butcher, and starve the white women and children of the south" killing spree of general sherman, and that obama is fond of all of the policies of both lincoln and bush; and impeccably promostes BOTH tyrannical styles. the only meaningful difference between neo-con and neo-com is that the first wants all welfare payments to go to israel and its other friends, and the latter wants all welfare to go to "poor people" everywhere, including here in the usa. BOTH systems REQUIRE totalitarian control to enslave and rob the working class to support their global expansionism and welfare; whether corporate welfare or the more traditionally thought of, "bleeding heart" welfare. so in the final analysis, the difference between neo-com and neo-con is about the same as the difference between and "n" and an "m" that is the only thing that differentiates the words, and the distance between them as regards the american people, is about the same as the distance between the "n" and the "m" on your keyboard... take a look. as for REAL AUTHENTIC AMERICAN PATRIOTISM, well that is on the other side of the coin altogther. come on mark, you post great founder quotes every day; dont you read them ?? or do you only read them through the lens of a zionist/walstreet/central bank approved magnifying(distortion) glass ?? jeff

Our country is divided.........RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE......
I am quite sure that the last election was won by fraud and manipulation, but that does not discount the fact that the left has as many voters as the right at this point in time.........They remain in power at the highest levels of government, and the people of this great Republic are going to suffer the fate of the millions before us who have fallen under socialist rule.........Unless we act now. Conservative America needs to wake up and reestablish the rule of law and COMMON SENSE to our leadership.........I have no idea how it will be accomplished, but I know it must be done.

It's no surprise our country is divided. So evenly. Our government is divided evenly. The Democratic party and the Republican party are far more alike than they are dissimilar. Neither party wants to control spending, they just want to control the other party's spending. Neither party wants to truly reform taxation. Tax codes are tools for politicians to curry favor, power and money. The two parties are like cars: the Ford Mustangs and the Chevy Camaros. Fundamentally the same, just different badges. Voters have brand loyalty. Which car do you drive?

A good idea to resolve the government spending/fiscal cliff issues is to take the contentious items that are being debated at the Federal level and move them to the state level. This is more consistent with the design and intent of the Constitution, and it will allow people to more locally control what gets enacted. For example, if people in California want higher levels of services from the government, they can vote for that without interference of people like me who live in Texas. Vice-versa, people in Texas can vote for lower levels of services and get the lower taxes/lower deficits (and greater growth) that goes along with that, regardless of what people in California think. This will also make it less likely that people will "vote themselves other people's money" since they will only be taking it from people in their own state. This will also provide a great comparison to the different choices made in the different states, which will help the people see which tends to work better and yield the best results.
I think conservatives will support this as it gives more and better choices, is more consistent with the role of the Federal government as specified in the Constitution, and will (over time) show that the conservative principles work best. Liberals may be convinced to support it as it would allow them to do whatever that can get approved in their state without the limitations that the Republicans/conservatives place on this on the Federal level.

There's no reason now to go off with a Neo-Com accusation against the Democrats. Has there been a President from the Democratic Party in the last hundred years that did NOT borrow parts of his policy from Karl Marx? No, and there have been lots of Republican Presidents who did some of the same borrowing. There's nearly always been a difference in degree, that's all, and the current Comrade President has taken it all to a new high degree. But there's nothing new here.

Dear Mr. Alexander: Thank you for your well-written article on our recent political history - sad as it is. Your work is always a good read.
Two quick observations related to your editorial: 1) One has to admit that the NeoCom-In-Chief, BHO, has been quite clever in the way he has set up his "solution" to the current Fiscal Cliff. Either way that the event turns out, he wins and furthers his communist agenda. He gets to crow that the conservatives "saw the light" if the Republican Party chooses a compromise. Or he gets to paint them even further as evil if the Fiscal Cliff occurs. 2) More in line with your present piece, an article in another journal led me to the conclusion that with the Obama administration (the past four years as well as the coming four) vividly demonstrates the results of the Entitlement Generation. Our political history has seldom seen the level of ineptitude, craven cowardice and grievous lack of a moral compass as has been inflicted by this first generation of Entitlement Receivers. I am in no way saying that all members of minority groups are so shockingly bereft of capabilities and ability. But the result of pushing upward into leadership positions those who have received unearned preferential treatment after preferential treatment, and many times have been paid in the process, is too obvious to be argued. While all the departments of government are likely afflicted, the stinking results are most obvious in the Executive Department and the Department of Justice. P. S. My contribution and support of the Post is on the way!

Those are not the only alternatives the Republicans have. They can use the Representatives' appropriations origination authority to take entire government agencies prisoner and threaten them with execution (no more appropriations this year for the Dept. of Education or any equivalent function) if Mr. Obama refuses to sign a tax rate increase cancellation bill. They can argue that if the tax rate goes up, the federal government will face a greater shortfall in revenue as people move their business out of country, so we have to close some agencies to make up the difference.

They couldn't beat our war machine in battle, so now they subvert our children with communist skooling and Hollywood propaganda.
I know two things about communists: one, they always operate from the principle that what is THEIRS is THEIRS, and what is YOURS is negotiable; and two, you cannot live with these people. You are either enslaved by them or you kill them.

Do not fret about the polls, pundits, fiscal cliffs and talking points that will accomplish nothing but manipulation by the political system and socialist media. Simply prepare and stay prepared for the place, incident and individuals who will signal the time has arrived. Socialists and Communists can not even feed or defend themselves. They must always confiscate from others and force someone else to do the difficult jobs for them. They are an inherently weak and flacid group who talk loud when they think they are in control. Talk will not suffice forever. I have every confidence that those in farms, factories, law enforcement and military service will be prepared to support and defend the Constitution, as they swore, when the time comes and it is drawing near.

I think there are many people in our age group that ask the same question "what can we do"? It is not clear to me at this point since the main objective of most politicians is to get re-elected. When they lie and deceive at the current level AND the MSM do not call them on it, I am very afraid for the future of this great Republic.

Mr. Alexander, it's always a treat to read your work. I have just a couple of brief critiques of your otherwise fine effort here.
First, I'm not clear on how you are forwarding the political debate our nation sorely needs to have, by creating your own synonym for Progressivism, "NeoCom."
As you are highly aware, Progressivism has to do with the progressive transformation of our society from the most dynamic free market economy history has ever witnessed, and morphing it into yet another ham-handed statist government for which we can find no successful examples. The goal of Progressivism was and remains to Socialize America from within, without a bullet being fired.
My second point of critique is that you state the "NeoComs" (Progressives) are today's Democrat party. That is true, so far is it goes; but Progressivism is hiding out within the Republican Party as well. It's hard not to think that one of them is sitting on a 'purge list' right now. Let's just guess that Conservative congressmen who are "purged" are probably not Progressives!
Mr. Alexander, perhaps you could consider a subsequent post in which you differentiate "NeoComs" from Progressives.

That's not enough. We also have to dismantle the Administrative State apparatus. Daniel Hannan, who has served as England's delegate to the European Parliament, learned that the EU Parliament is largely meaningless; the bureaucrats control everything and only pay lip service to what the "democratic" body says.
As a start, we need a blanket repeal of the United States Code and all accompanying regulations. Congress needs to start over with the bare Constitution. We need a series of amendments to tighten the peoples' control of the Federal government. Several are suggested below: 1. The power of Congress to obtain revenue to provide for the General Welfare of the United States shall not be construed to mean anything other than providing for the expenses of carrying out the lawful functions of the Congress, the Executive and Judicial authorities elsewhere enumerated in this Constitution. 2. The power of Congress to regulate Commerce between States shall not be construed to extend beyond the actual transfer of goods or services across state boundaries; it shall not extend to possible antecedents or consequences of such transfers. 3. No statute or associated regulation shall be in effect for more than seven years without a review and re-enactment by Congress. This amendment shall not be construed to place a limit on Congressional authority to set shorter terms for expiration or review. 4. The length of the United States Code, whether directly or by reference, shall not exceed one million words or ten million characters, excluding spaces. If an Act of Congress would otherwise cause the length of the United States Code to exceed its maximum, Congress must repeal or shorten a sufficient portion of the Code before the Act can take effect. (Note: I saw this in a science fiction story; I think the credit goes to Robert Heinlein.)

Definition of Neo Com, (neo Communist) Many of us who have had the fun of going down bay and joining the Oyster Fry at Sausalito Sailing Club or sending out a scout to Bodega Bay to buy an ice chest full of the Shelled delight, will cringe at the latest news out of Washington. The present administration is doing its best to stop businesses from succeeding to be independent and free to excel and earn a profit … as an example; I draw your attention to a radio station out here (link) http://www.ksfo560.com/page/DrakesBayoysterfarmseekscourtordertoallowittocontinueoperation/832
KSFO (a conservative news talker) is a radio station here, who is blowing the lid off the President’s administration and the Department of Interior’s attempt to force the closure of the Bodega Bay Oyster Farm. It is a family owned business that has been operating since before 1900. They are some of the finest sweet meat oysters on the west coast. The guy owning it just happens to be a Republican (yeah I know, Marin County?).
Check out the website for the station and click on the Oyster Farm story before it is taken down. I hope you will write your congressmen and senators and send that out and get all of them, on your list, to protest this infringement on a family business not hurting anyone. The interior department goons are saying; it is not suitable and a natural part of the pristine bay environment…It is PURE Bovine Scat!
The guy is a Business man in a very GREEN business employing about 100 people who will all likely go on some Obama entitlement program because that is all they know and they mostly have lived in the remote village for much of their lives.
Send your letters and phone calls to your congressmen and senators and forward this on to those you think would be interested.

What often gets lost in the rhetoric, both good and bad, is the fact that Marxism never really caught on in America until Darwinism became the established doctrine of origins taught as "fact" in the government school systems. The Theory of Evolution is undoubtedly the foundation upon which modern progressive ideology is based. This includes everything from their pro-death cultural rantings to their economic worldview and the atheistic/religious humanism that is the mantra of liberalism. Given the vast amount of mounting evidence for a young earth creationist theory, which by the way is why the left targets those like Rubio who espouse it, the only conclusion one can come to is that those on the left refuse to acknowledge the true source of moral/ethical authority.

The left continues to target the foundation of conservative's worldview, while we continue to just shoot down their arguments one by one. Until we begin to relentlessly attack the ideological foundation of the left, i.e., evolution, we fight a losing battle in the lame stream government controlled media. Destroy the foundation with the facts, and you undermine the whole ideology.

Seems to me that to avoid the results of 2008 and 2012, Republicans are going to have to recruit some new voters. Given their striking inability to articulate any kind of coherent principles, they must either move closer to the Democrats, the Greens, or the libertarians. I suggest that the latter requires less explaining.
Some of the younger, angrier Republicans are going to have to take over the party with a new agenda emphasizing social liberalism and fiscal conservatism. The new leaders, when asked about wars, tax increases, budget deficits, corporate welfare, etc., must be able to say, "Yeah, we don't do that anymore." When asked about abortion, gay marriage, affirmative action, etc., the new leaders must be able to say, "That's all states' rights stuff - go ask your governor." When asked about Bush's many supposed sins, the new leaders must be able to say, "I think you're confusing us with the Old Republican Party."
The Democrats have figured out how to beat status-quo Republicans every time; we need a change that will excite some new voters.

There is another type of welfare promoted by the left besides inheritance-welfare, and poverty welfare. The other category is worker-welfare. Do you notice how the Dem agenda is to extort from private industry and its workers, and gives as much of it as possible to civil workers and union workers . . . for as little work as possible? (If people work less, more positions need to be filled, don't you see?)
The left doesn't mind the military, either, as long as they think of it as part of the worker welfare. Of course, some men and women are still proud to join the military with the noble goal to protect our nation. But the leftward selling points for enlistment is the benefits. Free schooling, early retirement, good pension. . . then play the system to get a second civil position, while drawing the first pension. Enlisted people see first-hand the typical government inefficiency and waste. Millions of dollars of good equipment and supplies discarded and destroyed (while the workers actually don't have what they really need) to ensure a bigger budget for the next year, enlisted people required to use expensive, military-approved services (for even the smallest needs, like washing clothes!) that produce poor results. Assignments are often make-work, instead of true productivity.
Regarding civil workers, police and firefighters, alike, will tell you how they are able to arrange their hours so that they rack up voluminous overtime, even though normal scheduling would result in very little need for overtime. It's part of the way the game is played. Private industry could never endure such waste. But since it's the government, it's just another excuse to raise taxes, or threaten to "cut services."
Thanks for a thought-provoking article.

WW2 is the only event that got us out of it. Then we do not collect on all the loans dispursed to our allied countries and tell them no problem we can handle it. Man what a dump decision. For all us Southerners, that depression lasted up to the mid-1950's. Hence the reason most southern states are right to work.

Unfortunately I only observe the workings of two grow the government parties. One terminally atupid and the other terminally evil. But they are unfortunately only reflections of a people that have rejected the vitrues espoused by our founding fathers in favor of freebies, drugs, and hedonism. Our schools are a joke, capitalism a fading memory, and civic virtue died on a bridge in Massachusetts decades ago.
I'm old enough to see how America has changed from a nation of doers to our current "Star Wars" barroom frenzy of welfarism, gimmies and obamaphones. In twenty years we will be Europe, a society that is without values or hope, wondering what happened to the past glories but secure in the knowledge that the next welfare check is in the mail and that we can buy liquor with our foodstamps.
Then we become Argentina or some Africian pest hole. I am glad I can escape this future and that my family will not have to see it. For those that created this mess, The Bushes, Cantors, Romneys, McCains as well as the entire Democrat Party, I hope your children enjoy what you have created.

Thank you for the new addition to my lexicon. NeoCom is a great description of them (sorry for the dualist philosophy-but it's truly there). I am a former elected official who foolishly ran for a higher office in the town and county where NeoComs go to die (the "bluest" county in the "bluest" state). Previously I was extremely popular because I injected humor and commonsense into a population that had neither. I made the mistake of running for county-wide office against a true NeoCom. He boasted that his dad was a card-carrying member of the CPUSA and a former Wobbly. His publically stated regret was that there was no longer a CPUSA of merit and heft that he could Join...so he was in a default position ..thusly a Democrat. Needless to say he was relected handily (60%/40%). Yes the mentality of the NeoCom is evasive and slippery. Spin is the order of the day. Outright lying is not unusual. I believe that Lenin covered all this in his writings. Welcome to the brave new world-remember that most of the "rulers" in the USA are heirs of the "60's" and they've taken their "Soma" on a regular basis. Default positions are all they remember, political orthodoxy is the NeoCom creed. Thank you for this most excellent descriptor of the "new" face of America !

What many don't realize is that the war has already begun. Soon an even bigger portion of the population will be dependent on unions and the "gub-mint" for survival...and they will never, ever give up those hand-outs. Unfortunately those of us who "do", as opposed to "take", obviously haven't had enough yet as we keep losing elections because someone isn't "conservative" enough. Remember this--Hitler was taking over Europe without ever firing a shot long before he invaded Poland. It's just a matter of time here...

Continuing, the real place to start the counter-revolution is at the local level. Our eye has been taken off the ball by all the national theatrics. Forget Boehner, forget McConnell, forget Graham...they are dead from the neck up. Focus on the true base, get elected to school boards, town or city councils, county commissions, even state representative positions. Don't sweat the National positions. Occupy all the lower elected offices with a majority. Until this happens there will be no GOTV that will succeed. This strategy will sew up the future. It can be accomplished in as little as two years. Hold the ground and you hold the base. The higher offices can be obtained when the lower ones are covered. Think little while thinking big. The NeoComs have taken 75 years to establish the current level of control, we can take it back in 2 to 12 years. Be patient, stop whining. Oh yeah, buy some guns.

Neo Communist is likening to being half pregnant {pun}. In our current administration, like that of Franklin D. Roosevelt's Communist endeavors of changing America from the inside to a Marxists/welfare state. The current administration has been packed with "Neo Communists, the State comes first, the People considered last. In direct contravention of our Constitution, unlawful and despicable. Appointing like minded Judges like FDR, ramming presidential edicts and legislation that usurps the Rule of Law down "The Peoples" throats and an undeniable, visible progressive effort to forever change our Republic. Once changed it is forever gone, unless and until "The People" revolt and say enough. This is the bare face of our current situation. The truth will set us free of the repressible infestation that has infiltrated our government in the once freedom loving Democratic Party. What else must they do to spark 'the people,' to positive action, letters, emails, phone calls to the elected? Such simple actions the American people can take to keep our beloved liberty and freedoms from being taken away. In order to change history we must read history, less we relive it.

I went to Columbia Law School with Justice Ginsberg. Wee taught that the way to bring about "social justice" was not through Constitutional process, but through litigation before judges who believed in the "living Constitution." Indeed in 8th grade on long island I had a teacherwhotauoght us from the "Ddaily Worker"( for the correct social view of the world, and from the NY times for the events of the World. A The wife of one of my fthers bests friends was a union organizer teache rin the New York School sysstem and and openly a communist party member. Later when representing a leading publisher in the ac. .

Good article but one factual error: FDR's fourth term began on Jan 20th 1945 (only his first term began in March) and he died on April 12th, nearly 3 months later.

Patrick Henry said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." -----I say, we were once, "One Nation Under God". We, in the name of tolerance, entitlements, and progressive thinking, have removed ourselves from "under" the protection of God. The severe problems we now face are symptoms and evidence of us not being "One Nation Under God".

We are a divided Country .... only 2 things can save us now. A complete Revolution or the return of the Lord to remove all the evilness in this World. I saw a very disgusting image on Fox News this morning ... Obama speaking about the Connecticut shootings yesterday. He wiped a tear from his eye... what a phony gesture. This is the same man with his murdering friends that allow for more than a million "Little Souls" to be aborted each year. What about their life, what school will they attend, what contribution will they make in this World. How many "Little Souls" were denied this opportunity to life in the State of Connecticut on 12/14/2012. How shocked is Nancy Pelosi or Sandra Fluke about the "Life that had no Chance"? No America ... there is no War on Women but there is a War that some Women have on Children. Yes.. Obama and his close friends (David Axelrod) are Communists and inherit enemies of Capitalism and their goal is to create a dumb Society, which will be easy to control. Thanks why are schools are only getting worse and the people, who vote have no idea what they are voting for. They Vote skin color and Promises of Freebies. America ... you have seen your best days!!!

I agree with our exaulted leader. An armed citizenry poses too much threat to the progress of Democratic Socialism. Resistance is unnecessary. Turn over all your guns now and unite with us for a better future. Our goal is to take them anyway.

I am very glad that most Americans are not ignorant of the founder's intent for the second amendment. Consistent with your endless wealth of ignorance you seem to always surprise Patriotic Americans with a lawyer like lifetime politician's view from a dark corner of the TWILIGHT ZONE.

Great article on the "NeoComs" but we need to consider the fact that God has a "hand" in all the affairs of men/women according to Daniel 4:17. Whether they are elected or appointed -- and that He has a purpose/plan for all mankind. He has a "date" set when He will right all the wrongs. Perhaps this "NeoCom" in charge will be the one, allowed by God, to bring His purposes to the appointed time -- somebody will do it.

The POST is so spot on so consistently and it is a real honor to support these PATRIOTIC efforts. Soetoro's desire to raise the "debt ceiling" by his own means shows the audacity of this autocrat and the hidden agenda of fascism. there are some who have more of the world's riches than others. Fascists "play" the middle class protection game and pit ethnic and cultural segments of the population against one another. An additional method includes control of the press ( with little effort it appears in th USA) and promotion of the fallicy that capitalism is evil and the reason why some have more of the world's wealth than others includes the use of envy and greed. We in America would do well to remember that Satan comes as an angel of light and in the end he is a liar and kills and destroys all he touches. He also is a great deciever and easily enters where the strong man slumbers.

I disagree with your characterization of the new Democratic party as neocoms. It is far worse than that and far more deceptive. Benito Mussolini once made the statement "Make no mistake! Fascism IS Socialism!" The primary difference between Communism and Fascism is that Communism demands direct governemt ownership of all forms of production - fascism merely wants to "control" all forms of production rather than having titular ownership. Add the elements of racism and hidden antisemitism prevalent in the current Democratic Party, and it is no longer just Fascism - it is National Socialism - aka Nazism.

I say: Cap n' ball for Cap n' trade! The only possible road for conservatives now is to press hard to ammend term limits for congress and senate. Also, we must insist that those in Washington share in the bounty of Obama-care. We Americans need to be tough and never quit. It's not defense we need but offense!

Living in Portland, a liberal hotbed, has allowed me to watch them in action and has confirmed in my mind why I embrace conservatism. In a word, liberals are "bullies". They want things done their way and will pass laws and impose regulations to force all to obey their beliefs. Of course, the great truth is that capitalists can live without socialists, but socialists have to have capitalists around. Without capitalists, there would be no wealth to redistribute!

Dear "TRUE AMERICANS" There is not a minute I do not think about how to save our great country from the self destruction process the unfortunate blind of our country has led us to. There are 2 avenues we can take and in this order. 1) We aproach by using the same ignorance that our representatives and there supporters have and "quit the republic" and start our own government body with "Constitution in hand that we stick to". We generally live together but apart by government rule.( We will be a nation of divide) There citizens abide by there rules and our citizens by our rules. In cases of Law both parties would retain diplomatic immunity while the expense for our military and infastructure would be shared since both governments would own it. (This would force common sense regulation since our old govt body would realize we will not pay for nonsense! ) Many would argue this would not work but it already does between Federal and State governments except for the state governments seam to have caved in to polotics as usual where we would not. I actually know the true free people of our nation can turn our lives around quickly and without bloodshed on our part. (I HAVE A REAL PLAN) 2) This is the part where our current government bows to the powers at hand and declares war on its own people! We must defend ourselves to remain free. Never give up our weapons! Never give in to bad political rules that will tie our hands to make us feel beaten! Instead remain firm in the idea "Let them have what they want but its not for us". Above all we must remain as one and never break apart so when they come for one of us "Freedom Fighters" they will deal with millions of us. Above all we must remain peacful until attacked upon! REMEMBER: We do not want bloodshed nor violence / Just "FREEDOM of choice".

We are in rough shape because of Obama, the people will realize what a drastic mistake it made by the end of January 2013 because it will take them that long to figure out they have been duped yet again! With taxes on Obamacare and an increase in medical, people will finally start to wake up and realize the free ride is over! By the way NO ONE has ever been able to confirm why Obama has spent/given up over 8 Million dollars for his birth certificate, diplomas, visas, and college enrollment papers! Why aren't more people asking more about this phony information he's provided?

Pencils don't mispell, spoons don't make people fat, cars don't cause drunk driving accidents & guns don't kill people. Give someone money & you help them for awhile. Teach someone to earn money & you help them for life. Bobin Hood in reverse is masquerading as Santa Claus. Start using your money to fight back. Stop spending it where it's being used against you.

Your definition of neo-con is a little different from the one I have seen quoted from the man who coined the phrase. He, Crystal (can't remember his first name) said a neo-con is a former liberal who has seen the light of conservatism, and has made the transition.

Maybe it is time to rethink what our party stands for. We can no longer be held hostage by Ultra-Conservatives. They are close-minded and intractable. They stayed home the last election and let Obama waltz into a second term. Why can't we fight to reduce the abortion time to at most 3 months and put this issue to bed. Why can't we allow marriage between two people if they choose to love and support each other no matter the sex. This country was founded on the principle that we are a free people. Free from any one group's ideology. Their churches have the freedom to not marry same sex couples. But, the government has the solemn duty to assure that marriage certificates are allowed for same sex couples. We will not progress unless we shed the Luddite belief that the universe was created in 7 days according to some religious documents. The Catholic Church affirmed the concept of the Big Bang, yet their are ignorant people who refuse to believe. Let us shun these Ultra-Conservatives. We CAN be more inclusive of others no matter the race, creed, or national origin. We just need to uphold that anyone can come into this country legally, have them affirm their loyalty to this country, and live by our laws. The problem is that the immigration laws have not been enforced over the last couple of decades. Amnesty is the best option to legalize people that have been living here for years. It gets them paying the taxes for services they've been receiving for free. Then, enforce the borders. Once the Ultra-Conservatives have been shunned and the party is more open, we will siphon off MANY independents and blue dog Democrats to make up a stronger and more far-reaching majority. Our immediate goal is to take 60+% of the House and Senate in 2014 in order to nullify the Obama agenda, and enact over any Obama veto, the Neo-Republican agenda.

The false promise that is "Hope and Change" has made null and void all the wisdom of and sacrifices by our preceding generations. Modern American thought must be cursed as anathama to all those who have lived and died for liberty. America may be fundamentally changed, but not for the good.
