Sixty Million Armed Patriots ... and Counting

Time is running out for the People to acquire arms for the coming conflict. There is no way that the Communists currently occupying the offices of all levels of our government will quietly allow the elections of 2010 to overturn their grasp on control. If the results go against them, there will be some catastrophic event perpetrated to use as the excuse for martial law. The administration has its storm troopers in place in the form of SEIU and ACORN. Pres. Bush signed an agreement with Canada to send troops into the U.S. in the event of civil uprest. If they will bring in Canadian troops, will NATO/U.N. troops be far behind? Now that former Eastern Bloc troops are part of NATO, do you think they will not eagerly fight to subdue the American people? If you want to learn what would be coming to the streets of America, look at the U.N. troops are doing in Africa--rape, pillage, murder, the list of crimes is endless. Just like in 1776 the hope of the world rests with the armed American People.

I recently had an opportunity to discuss gun ownership and gun control with a Canadian citizen and it is truly eye-opening to see how otherwise intelligent people can be reduced to non-thinking automatons spouting liberal group-think nonsense.We all need to inform ourselves and especially break away from the revisionist history taught us in the government-run schools that most of us were subjected to.

Like Michael stated above, foreign countries are inscribed to come into our country just as our country's soldiers have been doing all over the world to quell unrest that is LAWLESS. But like the Japanese Commander of Navel forces was quoted, if we invade the U.S. there would be a gun behind every blade of grass so if it deterred world domination to the point it prevented the invasion of the Mainland of the U.S. how can it be a bad thing to own guns.Guns are feared by those wishing "Ill Intent" on the gun holder, so the Bleeding heart liberals in Washington must has Ill Intent on us to wish they had our guns.And by the way, being retired Military, if that quack in Washington thinks he can rely on the U.S. Military to invade and suppress it's own people by a force instructed to do so for a Commander in Chief they do not even respect, then he has another thing coming!He would have better luck with the French.......BUT the rest of AMERICA BETTER WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the thermometer of civil unrest which should be regarded by our government. Gun ownership, especially on such a large scale, cannot be explained in any other way. The Elites/Progressives have worked a long time to get to where they are, I don't think they will go down without a fight... If we (the American Citizens) take Congress back in 2010, we might have a chance to repeal these tactics, otherwise, we are going to hit hard times in our country.

Patriot Post,Great artical,personally I believe Oboma has already broken many laws, not to mention Constitutionality. More smelly to mention his own cabinet group of czars. Socialists, members of the weather underground,tax cheets,a convicted prisoner who wrote the Blue Print for the take over of the United States,just to mention a few.The president is beyond exception.We need to remember the Minutemen. There problems are not much more complicated than today. How are we getting into Health Insurance,steady on gun control,we are going broke, eldery are going to hell with health insuurance. Personally, I don't see the need for the concealed-carry laws that have been created in numerous American states. Why should a concealed-carry law or a non-concealed-carry law be needed when our second amendment specifies neither concealed nor non-concealed. It simply states, "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms...", without any qualifiers. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it seems that any laws that place qualifiers on when, where, or how arms are kept and born by Americans would infringe on the second amendment. And in the limit and in fact, the more qualifiers that unscupulous legislators might put on the second amendment, the more pointless the amendment could become - and our Founders never meant for legislative mechanizations to nullify constitutional provisions. Hence, I think that concealed-carry or open-carry should be up to the individual and those who get frightened by the look of a "scary gun" should just buck-up and get with the program. Don't turn around because there may be an unarmed karate black belt standing behind you, ready to kill you in an instant!

Where I live, there is no town police force, only six state troopers covering the county. On a nightwith good weather, no major fire or vehicle accident, and no problems at the prisons, you shouldget a trooper in 10 minutes. Because a lot can happen in 10 minutes, I sleep armed every night,with my weapon in easy reach. 911 will only be called after the situation has been dealt with. Iwill not barracade my wife and myself in my bedroompraying for the good graces of a scumbag to let uslive. In reference to the situation with our out ofcontrol government, I have contributed to the economy by stockpiling weapons and ammo for whatevermay come, and I tell all my friends to "keep theirpowder dry!"

Re: Ray BrennetA while back, I told my assistant pastor that I'll not die until I've taken out 5 government employees, whether they be law enforcement or legislators. I've taken to calling the police, BATF agents, sheriffs, IRS agents, etc. "Redcoats" because it was the British army who enforced the decrees of the federal government of England (King George) and it's these types of law enforcement officers who enforce the laws of OUR unscrupulous governments. "5" because there are 5 in my family.

Dying for your country is admirable,but killing for your country may be required.Why should we trust a goverment that does not trust us,keep your guns.I for one will not let this uncivil administration disarm me.I am 74 years old,and never have I seen such a pack of liars in all my years.I think that many millions of voters are now saying,"what the hell did we do"

What has happened to our America? While we were living our lives and raising our families, our country was being infiltrated by socialists...quietly, but surely. Now, our country is so far gone, they are open and blatant about trying to complete the takeover. However, we are not quietly going with the flow any longer. We are fully awake and aware of the attempted hijacking of our country. We're saying "enough already". There are more of "us" than there are of "them". We have to stop "them". Many of us were deceived in November 2008, and most of those voters know it now, whether they admit it or not. I suspect there are not really that many hard core leftists in this country, and the majority of them are concentrated on Capitol Hill. They are trying for a major power grab and we need keep that from happening...by any means necessary. We must stop the loss of our freedoms, and regain the ones we've lost. In my opinion, it is time to find out where the military leaders of our armed services stand in relationship to the incredible lack of ability of Obama to be called "Commander in Chief." They should be willing to fight for the right of American Citizens to KEEP AND BEAR ARMS without restriction. They agreed under oath to do so.If ever a leader would take a stand against the tyrany of our government, there would be thousands of those who would willingly follow to make sure our country remains our country before it is sold out to Marxists, Communists, Socialists, etc.

I use to be of the mindset that the more guns out there, the more dangerous the world would be...now, thanks to the Patriot Post and it's fine readers' comments, I realize it's the ones with criminal intent that are the problem. The solution? Normal, everyday Joes and Josephines being armed against the madness...

Say, this article is great and all, but it's been almost a year and I was wondering if y'all had any kind of update on how many armed patriots there are now. I'm sure the number has grown, and I'm sure it'd be interesting to know.

It would seem that perhaps, the most effective way for large scale civilian arms confiscation would be through the use of school lockdowns during the beginning of a declaration of martial law, as well as turning family and friends against one another. Would they use your children as hostage for your guns?? It would be a total nightmare. Anyone who had bought hunting licenses, big and small game tags, etc. is listed in their databases. It would be very effective in rural areas.

I, too, am a patriot, loyal American, and gun owner. As a public school teacher for over 26 years, I have done my best to instill love of our country in my students. I have told them there is NO other nation in the world as wonderful as ours and the freedom we enjoy is not found anywhere else. Unfortunately, I have seen over time, less interest and less enthusiasm in general, for our country by students and their parents. The time surely seems to be approaching when our freedom will have to be upheld through the combined efforts of patriots.

Thomas Jefferson, I think, said something relative to the fact that the blood of patriots is the natural manure of the tree of liberty. It always seemed to me that given the era when that thought was expressed it was appropriate and necessary. In my lifetime I never believed I would witness a spiritual uprising amongst the people such as we see today that would bring that thought to mind again. As this is written, the SCOTUS is considering whether or not the 2nd Amendment extends to the states. How absurd! Lock and load.

If I was willing to voluntarily fight communism at the age of 18 back in 1965,what would make this administration or any other think I have changed my mind? I guarantee that if any force engages me in an effort to subdue my and my countrymens Constitutional rights,their net losses will be greater than mine.DON'T TREAD ON ME.

In answer to Churchill's comment about using our own children as hostages remember what happened when terrorists took over that school in Russia a few years ago. The citizens and the army attacked! I would NOT want to be holding someone's children hostage when their armed parents arrive.Like lakota I joined the army to fight communism and spent 24 years doing it. I also have not changed my mind.

Is there a document to be signed refusing to comply with Obama's coming executive order? We all know what is coming, this "man" rules by dictate not law. Possibly seeing that there will be an armed revolution will make him take pause.

Americans should not be naive when dealing with a Muslim practicing the Taqyirra to hide his religious and Communist political views. People who have been unarmed by their governments have paid a terrible toll in the 20th century,170,000,000 dead so far.

Don't be surprised if Obonzo and his lackeys light the match to start the next revolution. This will enable Obonzo to declare Martial Law and try and seize the guns using Homeland Security, the military and his Brown Shirts.

Hitler was successful by creating the crisis himself while blaming others, utilizing his slight of hand to take over Germany. Obonzo is every bit as corrupt and evil, and will sooner or later stop at nothing to destroy America as we know it.
