The time when our liberties really started eroding fast was during the New Deal 1930s. That is when the Supreme Court adopted its "rational basis" test that effectively wrote liberty out of the Constitution. As a result, most American liberty is no longer protected by the Rule of Law, and government can cut down our freedom to live our lives as we choose at any time it wants and in just about any way it sees fit. We do not have liberty as a "fundamental right."Only by making basic liberty a fundamental right can Americans again be the free people envisioned by our nation's Founders. Takinglibertyseriously.net
