Wally,I also believe that all authority comes from God. However I believe there is no authority for most the recent actions of our federal government and therefore nothing to respect. My boss can tell me all manner of things related to how I go about my bussiness and I will abide to the best of my ability as unto the Lord. However, if he directs me to do something illegal or immoral I will refuse based on the grounds that he doesn't have the authority to do so. Same as the federal government does not have the authority to take from one to give to another. I too pray for peaceful restoration earnestly but would not consider it sinful to reject unauthorized intrusions to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.Your Brother.
