The 2024 election season promises to be eventful, as today’s political campaigns seem to now be based on a competition of facts versus feelings.

The reality of the veritable dumpster fires happening at the hands of Democrats and their destructive policies — such as an unprecedented border invasion, increased crime, homelessness, rampant illicit drug use in all major cities, the nonstop fueling of hate and division, and the constant assault of truth, facts, and basic language — should inspire the vast majority of voters to opt for a drastic change in leadership.

Recent polling on our two leading presidential candidates appears to indicate an awakening of sorts, as the scales are tipping, at least on a national level, away from the Left.

Though the plummeting support for Joe Biden is of some concern to Democrats, it is not enough of an issue for them to correct their course or even attempt to reduce the pain and suffering of everyday people across the country. Instead, they will frighten potential voters by insisting that rights, primarily of women, are on the line should the “Bad Orange Man” retake the White House.

Of course, the Democrats’ promise to protect women’s rights does not include banning men in dresses from women’s scholarships, preserving women’s athletics for real women, or securing women’s private spaces by keeping men and boys disguised as the opposite sex from entering their bathrooms and locker rooms. Nor are Democrats addressing the surge in repeat violent offenders who are being let back onto the streets due to their no-cash bail and other soft-on-crime policies. This has created a public safety disaster for women by bringing unnecessary risk to their daily activities.

No, their belief is that a woman should be more afraid of not being able to kill her unborn child than concerned over her own privacy and security — or that of her daughters, friends, mothers, aunts, cousins, or coworkers.

And it’s working. Women’s support for Democrats has only gone up despite their rights in every area of life being squashed by male supremacists, also known as “trans women.”

The question is: Do Republicans have a chance of winning if so many voters believe their liberty is tied to the availability of the barbaric practice of abortion?

Perhaps. The key could be changing the narrative on the word “choice” from the Democrat interpretation to the actual definition of having choices.

In response to these single-issue voters, both former President Donald Trump and Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake released video messages on the subject of abortion. Both candidates acknowledged the desire of most voters to focus on when the cutoff date for abortion should be while encouraging the American people to “do the right thing.”

Both Trump and Lake also touched on the American Dream of raising a family while understanding that this now seems out of reach to many young Americans. Trump reminded people of the responsibility that comes with having choices, as the goal should always be to do what is moral. Lake, meanwhile, used her personal experiences of facing the unknowns of first-time motherhood and the struggles that every woman faces when taking on what is both the greatest challenge and the greatest blessing in our lives.

To counter popular pro-abortion talking points like the financial struggles and the lack of lifestyle flexibility, Lake pointed to the policies that Hungary uses to encourage family growth and security — such as significant tax cuts for getting married and further cuts for each child that a married couple has. That certainly would seem to lessen the financial burden of parenthood, which is one of its major obstacles.

To Lake, it’s a question of priorities. America seems forever able to bail out banks and large corporations but not our greatest institution — the family. Then again, it’s hardly the constitutionally conservative thing to promote expanding taxpayer giveaways, even for families.

Lake’s use of the word “choice” caused conservatives to wonder whether she had suddenly become pro-choice. However, the solutions being offered are meant to counter every pro-abortion argument offered by the Left so that the prospect of living in a society where full abortion access is not a thing will cease to be the threat to women’s rights that they’ve been led to believe it is.

Democrats have a lot riding on this issue, banking on the hope that women will continue to erroneously believe that they are the champions of “choice” and that the Right is about oppression. The opposite is, of course, the truth.

However, if conservatives can change the narrative on what having true choice means, then they can give women options and perhaps cause them to rethink their vote.
