More than three decades ago, in July 1971, The Washington Post ran a story headlined, “U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming.” The article began, “The world could be as little as 50 or 60 years away from a disastrous new ice age, a leading atmospheric scientist predicts.” That scientist is a man by the name ofnamed Dr. S. I. Rasool, whose team used “a computer program developed by Dr. James Hansen” to conclude that GHGs green house gases would block out enough sunlight to lower the global temperature by a staggering six degrees. That would lead to a new ice age, according to Dr. Rasool. The Post noted, “A new ice age would flood the world’s coastal cities and further lower temperatures to build up new glaciers that could eventually cover huge areas.” Now But now it’s global warming that’s supposedly going to flood our coastal cities. Interestingly, the Post also added, “They found no need to worry about the carbon dioxide fuel-burning puts in the atmosphere.” Just remember: The science is settled! More…
