Democrats seem quite eager to perpetuate the lies about the Hobby Lobby decision. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) warned Americans to fear the Supreme Court after it ruled Obama’s HHS can’t force some employers to pay for contraceptives that serve as abortifacients if doing so violates religious conscience. The Court was very specific, following a religious freedom law Bill Clinton signed, but the Left is having a field day completely misrepresenting the decision. “We should be afraid about this court,” Pelosi said. “[F]ive men can decide if a woman can use a diaphragm.” Such devices were not even the subject of the suit, much less the Court’s ruling. And the Court denied access to no one as the decision was only about who would pay for it. But the facts just get in the way of Pelosi’s tall tale.
