The Patriot Post® · Warren Echoes Obama's 'You Didn't Build That'

“If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Those infamous words immortalized by Barack Obama put a giant spot light on his strongly held belief that Big Government, not the entrepreneurial spirit and free market system, made America the world’s top economic powerhouse. At least it was, until Democrats placed us on a path to ruin. It’s a liberal philosophy that at the time of Obama’s admission wasn’t so much surprising as it was honestly revealing. And it’s a philosophy Democrats want to keep under the White House umbrella with the leadership of either Hillary Warren or Elizabeth Warren. This week, Sen. Warren echoed Obama’s sentiments during remarks at the Families USA Health Action Conference. “We celebrate the accomplishments of our pharmaceutical industry,” she said, “because these blockbuster drugs let people live longer, healthier lives. But we are also mindful that these drug companies did not do it alone.” In other words, scientists didn’t improve health care – government made that happen. Added Warren, “Drug companies make great contributions, but so do taxpayers.” By that logic, we couldn’t have affordable health insurance plans without the management of the federal government. Sorry, Warren, but socialism is the wrong prescription for a dying Republic.
