The Patriot Post® · Pope: Crossing Border a 'Beautiful Gesture of Brotherhood'

Pope Francis recently informed us that “every religion has its dignity” in what by all appearances was a politically correct bow to Islam. Now he’s pontificating about the plight of immigrants, millions of whom cross the U.S. border illegally. In fact, he suggested that upon his next visit to Mexico he might like to cross the border in show of solidarity. “To enter the United States from the border with Mexico would be a beautiful gesture of brotherhood and support for immigrants,” Francis said. He has consistently advocated for compassion for immigrants, most of whom are poor, and that is admirable and, indeed, Christian. But illegal aliens are breaking the law, too, and it would be appropriate if the pope acknowledged that. More…
