During last week’s graduation ceremony at Clay-Chalkville High School, situated roughly 20 miles northeast of Birmingham, Alabama, a woman needed medical attention for an unknown ailment. It was at that moment graduate Christian Crawford came up to the microphone to implore the Great Physician’s healing hand. “Can I have your attention real quick,” he began. “We don’t know what’s going on. But we will pray. We know that prayer is power and that God is able.” Crawford then delivered a 30-second prayer that prompted an ovation from the crowd and that has since gone viral, but the humble young man told a local Birmingham station, “People tell me all the time, ‘Oh, you’re famous now. You’re famous now.’ And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not famous. God is famous.’ If God’s famous, being exalted because of what I prayed about, then that means I’m doing what I was supposed to do.” He also told Fox News, “I realized it wasn’t just the lady that was healed that night. In my prayer, the Holy Spirit began to speak in me. He said that God is a fixer, that God is a deliverer, He said that God is a redeemer.”
