In dog-bites-man news today, Democrats and their media lickspittles are hyping the virtually nonexistent threat of right-wing violence while denying the very real existence of left-wing violence.

“Right-wing terrorism is the biggest threat to U.S. and Europe. Why has it gone unnoticed?” read the foreboding NBC News headline (before NBC changed it), while its accompanying image shows us three Nosferatu-looking Heil Hitlerites.

According to NBC’s appropriately named Willem Marx, “The threat of terrorism — particularly from the far right — should be a major concern for governments on both sides of the Atlantic as coronavirus restrictions continue to ease, according to multiple experts and former law enforcement officials who have experience monitoring violent extremist activity.”

And if “multiple experts” say so, then it must be true. Even if your chances of being murdered by right-wing extremists are, generously, around one in 33 million — a number that isn’t even in the same league as the likelihood of a young black man being murdered by another young black man. But, sure, let’s focus on right-wing extremism while ignoring the everyday genocide of black-on-black crime.

One of the “multiple experts” Marx interviews is British Maj. Gen Clive Chapman, who says, “There is a growing trend of right-wing extremism in the U.K., but it is not as significant as the rising right-wing extremism in America.” Chapman then fails to offer any evidence to support this claim, and Marx fails to tell us why he found the British Chapman to be such a credible source on U.S. domestic terrorism.

Embedded further down in the story is a nearly 10-minute video whose headline asks, “Europe’s neo-Nazis: Are they taking cues from America’s Commander-in-Chief?” In the video, which was produced in March, NBC journalist Richard Engel finds a man named “Keith,” then tries manfully to link him and his relatively obscure white nationalist movement to President Trump.

“There are many people in the United States who accuse President Trump of being a white nationalist,” Engel shamelessly asserts, using the mainstream media’s familiar and dishonest device of the anonymous yet multitudinous source. “Do you think he is?”

Engel’s subject dismisses any interest on the president’s part of making common cause with white nationalists, but Engel follows up by saying, “Nevertheless, Keith is devoted to his president.”

And this is what NBC has become.

Amid all this ominous reporting about the wave of white supremacism washing over the country is a curious incuriosity about a source of real unrest and violence: left-wing extremism.

Take House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, for example, who did his best Baghdad Bob impression in denying antifa’s violent presence in its own hometown of Portland.

“That’s a myth that’s being spread only in Washington, DC,” said Nadler.

For an opposing point of view, we have this statement issued yesterday by the Department of Homeland Security: “The violent situation Portland has witnessed for the past eight weeks continues with violent anarchists rioting on the streets. … As federal officers left the courthouse to respond to attacks on the fence, just like on previous nights they were met by rioters with hard projectiles, mortar style fireworks and lasers that can cause permanent blindness. Over the previous 24 hours, such assaults have resulted in at least 14 federal officers injured.”

The choice is yours: You can believe the Democrats and their Leftmedia enablers, or your lyin’ eyes.
