Thanks, Patricia. I noticed afterward that I left out "indivisible" inadvertently. However, I wonder if the divide over the fundamental direction of this country between right/left, free enterprise/socialism, conservative/liberal, is even greater than the divide over slavery was before the civil war. The question before us is can we co-exist with people who are so antagonistic to personal liberty and demand big-government, european-style entitlements?
