Reality is pretty scary stuff.
My first thought was that these NCAA guys are a bunch of hideous, pompous Liberals, as usual, ready to punish everyone BUT the criminals.
But the more I think about it, I begin to suspect we all share some of the blame. I think everyone who's touched on this subject, including myself, has been operating on some sort of diversion principal. Let's nail these guys who looked away. Cause none of us would have done that! Let's kill the whole school and the town so no one would dare to dream that we'd ever look away like that!
Bulls___!
There are pedophiles in every town and probably in almost every family. Pretending otherwise in almost a national past-time. There is no man in America practicing onanism and none of us have EVER crossed paths with an actual pedophile. Two sides of the same lie, I'd guess.
Why does the left especially have to pretend to recoil in horror and point such desperate fingers? Those who in all other things display such "tolerance"? The sexual predators of children are a unique and terrible lot to all of us, but infinitely more so to those who defend the homosexual lifestyle.
They want to say that homosexuality is not volitional. Though the thesis has been amply disproved, they still want us to believe that it is genetic, that they were "born that way" and have no choice.

Homosexuality is NOT genetic. But neither is it, by any means, entirely volitional. It is sadly, a learned behavior, taught at an early age, in lessons so infused with evil intensity, that they become ingrained in the psyche of the victim. Intimidated into silence and left alone within a thing that grinds against the innate conscience, the innocent mind has no choice but to name the evil a good. So it begins. And so it repeats and continues through the generations, age upon younger age.
If this is true, then the 2-3% of the population that reaches adulthood with this inclination toward those of their own sex, have all been the victims of pedophiles. If his is true, but not always, then 10% of the population have been the victims of pedophiles, but most have come through with their natural identity more or less intact.
The defenders of all things "gay", would also have us believe that sexual predators are more often hetero men after little girls. But the percentage of gay men seeking boys is surely 50 times that of heterosexual men seeking girls.
This is the truth. Pedophilia is a nightmare from which every gaze is averted. It is a reality entering into every life which is to be fervently denied. It is a family member in just about every clan, whose known histories are hushed, and whose victims are placated, humored or punished, for the sake of the family name.
I shared all the anger at the events at Penn State, at the now fully evidenced betrayal by Coach Patterno. But shame on me for flapping my gums. I have an uncle still alive, nearing 90, who I wish I had beaten near to death 40 years back and still running.
I was old enough to thwart his advances, but he left me confused and deeply upset, and I spoke nothing of it for years. He also failed in an attempt on my brother and incredibly 30 years later on my son. But he succeeded with his own son, who, years later, informed every member of the family to the third most cousin to watch out for him as he traveled the country with his ever enabling wife.
I only mention this because I doubt its all that rare. These people still show up at family reunions, which aren't quite what they once were and what is known goes unacknowledged. Perhaps, oddly, to protect the children.
