Trudy, I was merely trying to determine what credentials the author had. By using the IF statement, I was excluding direct knowledge as a pre-requisute to understanding the problem of child abuse.

This is in contrast to my credentials - a convicted sex offender thirty two years ago- who has not re-offended' but a person who has first hand information to offer to anyone who is interested in preventing child abuse, instead of merely condeming and re-condeming. I certainly am not justifying bad behavior. On the contrary, in my book: Pedophilia: A Cause and A Cure, I examine the reasons for my fifty years of criminal behavior. Readers can benefit from my disseminating my darkest secrets. My goal in writing was to prevent child abuse.

Again, society, including you, should be asking How do we prevent child abuse, and not How do we punish and re-punish the offender.
