The Patriot Post's mission is to advocate for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and to promote free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values. Our objective is to provide Patriots across our nation with a touchstone of First Principles through brief, informative and entertaining analyses of relevant news, policy and opinion from reputable research, advocacy and media organizations, so they may better support and defend those Principles, and enlist others to join our ranks." —Mark Alexander, Publisher

I am disappointed that Mr. Santorum withdrew from the race. I recognize it was the logical choice because his chances for winning were almost none. I liked Mr. Santorum because he stood for making a real change in how this country is governed, and he spoke so plainley that you could understand what he really was saying. Mr. Romney represents more of the established republican politics we have seen in recent years. He is a much better option than Obama, but just another swing of the pendelum in this governmental clock that is winding down. The real tradegy is that when the people get in the voting booth, they vote for what they think is the best option for them personally, and not for what they think might be best for the country. They are not willing to make any personal sacrafice to improve even the future of their own children. I will vote for Romney is he is the republican candidate, however it will be like taking a dose of bitter medicine that I don't beleve will help in the long run.
