Santorum emerges from this race with the dignity of a high-achiever. He was a major element on the national stage for over 4 months; previously ignored or ridiculed by all media, other candidates, Saturday Night Live and all debate moderators, as irrelevant and wooden. His achievement during this campaign placed him in a position of much higher elevation than his predecessors and peers. He is Palin-like in his approach and ideology; but appears to have been a student of the treatment she received at the hands of the MSM and blogosphere. Santorum has the raw material to become a Reagan-like force for the future. As with Reagan, he may successfully buck the establishment "R" machine and redefine the Republican Party as a true home for conservative Americans in future elections. We outnumber liberals and progressives by a healthy majority. His bruises will heal, by the grace of God, his darling daughter Bella and family will recover. By that same grace of God, he will rise as a true conservative force within the new or old Republican Party. And: hopefully Fox will keep their hands off of him and allow him to remain in the image that he is developing, rather than the cartoon they seem to create out of rising conservative stars.
