Independence Day fell midweek this year, which is when most of our editorial assignments are distributed for the week. This has been a particularly demanding year for your Patriot Team and, thus, I made the decision to give our staff and volunteer support personnel a much needed day off on Wednesday. That means the editing schedule for today’s Digest was interrupted, but we will return to our regular publishing schedule Monday.

However, the boss did not take Wednesday off – so if you missed it, read “The Imperial Executive.”
