If any care to check and read God's word for themselves, you will find in Luke 22:36 Christ said : But now, he who has a money bag, take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one"
A sword was the weapon of the day. That was then. Now, the handgun is the weapon of the day.
Then, a few verses later, verse 38, "So they said, Look, here are two swords" And He said, "It is enough"
