White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Friday afternoon that new Ebola czar, Ron Klain will report directly to former U.N. Ambassador and current National Security Advisor Susan Rice.

“Mr. Klain will ultimately however report to Ms. Monaco [the president’s homeland security and counterterrorism advisor] and to National Security Advisor Susan Rice,” Mr. Earnest said Friday.

In 2012, Ms. Rice told CBS and ABC that the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi was a direct result of a “heinous and offensive” youtube video and was not preplanned.

Mr. Klain, an attorney who worked for Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, does not have any experience in the public health sector.

The White House touted Mr. Klain’s “strong management credentials, extensive federal government experience overseeing complex operations and good working relationships with leading members of Congress, as well as senior Obama administration officials, including the president.”
