Controversial MIT professor Jonathan Gruber, the “architect” of Obamacare, has agreed to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Spokesperson Caitlin Carroll tells Breitbart News that Gruber will appear at the committee’s hearing about health law deceptions on December 9.
Carroll also confirmed Breitbart News’s earlier report that Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner has agreed to testify before the committee the same day.
The testimonies of Gruber, caught bragging in multiple video tapes about how the Obama administration deceived American voters on the details of Obamacare due to their “stupidity,” and Ms. Tavenner, who was one of the administration officials responsible for the disastrous launch of the Healthcare.gov website, are expected to be filled with political fireworks.
The ranking Democrats on the committee are still determining who they will call as minority witnesses to testify at the hearing, according to The Hill.
The hearing will mark the swan song for Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) as Chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee. He will be succeeded in January by Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT).
