To get a feel of what went on the night Trayvon Martin was killed, you need to listen to that 911 call made by a neighbor. The fatal shot is heard in the background. Just listen to it. You need no experts. You need not know anything about this case. You don't even need an open mind. But you need to listen to that heart-wrenching call. Then draw your own conclusions.http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11548279

Nothing good comes out of this. Barrak Obama has another failure to add to his resume. Race relations in America.

Did anyone say Bernhard Goetz? Remember he shot 4 thugs (oops choir boys) that tried to mug him in the subway. The one thug that was crippled by a bullet the news media always showed his Jr High graduation picture, but never his mug shot. Also if my memory is correct one of the common criminals was arrested later for rape. Who says history repeats?

Burt, your commentary is right on the mark. But, in part, I blame the younger white generation to some extent. Their fascination with all things black empowers the African American race to "act out", if you will. There's gangsta music (mostly rap) that young whites love...songs about killing and raping women; there's the NBA and NFL, filled with black hoodlums and thugs...worshipped by whites of all ages; there's the clothing that some schools have chosen to ban, hoodies among them. Worst of all, single white women (and maybe married) just love Obama and his toothy smile. So, white America is bending over backwards, so to speak, to engage, accept, and adore all things black. And Jesse and Al Sharpton are race-baiting blacks against a white America who loves most of what the blacks offer. It's all insanity.

The media is complicit in their fanning the flames of racism, by reporting blatant lies; the picture, the editing of 911 tapes, and opinions reported as facts. I viewed a video of some Congress critter, I think from somewhere in Florida, wearing a clown suit in a Cowboy theme, topped off with a red hat charicature of a Cowboy Hat, claiming the young miscreant was hunted down like a dog. This idiot should immediately be recalled by her district. If this propoganda results in further violence, the blood will be on their hands, totally irresponsible and near criminal. And what is Really Criminal, where is the justice department when the Black Panthers are issuing bountys on Zimmerman? I suppose Eric Holder never met a Panther he didn't like. Even the NFL recognizes that bountys are an infraction to be punnished.

We have to make certain that Obama and his puppet, A$$Holder, are gone after the election. This means we have to do our best as it relates to voter turnout. There are too many instances of double standards. Turning their backs on black-on-white crime is normal for them and their slaves in the MSM. We need justice (now that sounds familiar).

Burt: I'm of the simple opinion that there's no such thing as "post-racial." As long as there are races there will be biases -- or at least the awareness that there are differences. I've concluded after many years of thinking about this that there will never be color-blindness. To make us all color-blind is to make us incapable of seeing red or blue or white on the good old red, white and blue. What a crushingly gloomy world! It would be great if we could all join hands in a great spirit of brotherhood and miraculously become unaware of our differences. But isn't it those same differences that make us what we are? I try to remember that I had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I am what I am -- the product of nurture and nature. I just try to be me without worrying about anybody else. Tall job, actually.

@kafantaris There is nothing to be gleaned from the tape. Both the Martin and Zimmerman parents claim the voice is of their son. I couldn't tell from the tape if it was a minah bird, a sheep bleating, or any identifiable person. I draw conclusions from facts, not heart wrenching emotion. You expose your liberal pathology. Facts, the martin kid was in a neigborhood he didn't live in, had a criminal history, and attacked Zimmerman. The media lied about all of this. Zimmerman was placed on the groud being asaulted by the dead miscreant by TWO witnesses. Zimmerman was treated for injuries by paramedics and detained and interviewed by the police, who won't release their evidence of an ongoing investigation, but found the facts warranted Zimmermans release. The media, in invention of a crisis, convicted Zimmerman without any facts other than outright lies. The Black Panthers have criminally issued a Bounty for the body of Zimmmerman, that is murder for hire. Draw your own conclusions on that you emotional wreck!

I, too, blame all the usual suspects, and that certainly includes Obama. People who contend that he had to respond to the reporter's question make me laugh. Obama never replies to questions he doesn't wish to answer or he'd be kept busy answering them about Solyndra, Operation Fast & Furious and a $16 trillion deficit. The question had been set up because he has to ignite his base, ensuring that he once again receives 97% of the black vote this November.Burt

In an effort reminiscent of the Tawana Bradley and Duke lacrosse players cases, race-baiting hustlers Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are demanding "justice" for the shooting of Trayvon Martin by denying due process to George Zimmerman. The New Black Panther Party has put a bounty on him. An irresponsible black film director has put two elderly people in fear for their lives by tweeting their home address, simply because they share a now notorious last name. If I didn't know better, I would have to accuse him of profiling, an activity he professes to detest. I have yet to hear an apology from him for this. In an effort to convict Zimmerman in the court of public opinion, the media have gone out of their way to publish pictures of Martin as a smiling, innocent 12-year-old (5 years ago) and Zimmerman's booking photo. They won't show Martin's current Facebook photo of him with his "pants on the ground" flipping the bird with both hands, or the picture of Zimmerman smiling and wearing a suit and tie. That would be contrary to justice being served. All that aside, there are two people who could have prevented this from ever happening in the first place, two people who are speaking up every time a camera is pointed at them. They are the parents who raised him to be the person he was at the moment he was shot. Why isn't this being addressed along with everything else?

Al Sharptongue is first and foremost,a race pimp.Jesse Jackson,Hank Johnson,Sheila Jackson Lee,and the rest of the Black Congressional Congress are racists. That's all...racists.They have done nothing for this country as is evidenced whenever they open their mouths.Hank Johnson shoulod have been drug tested after that "Guam will tip over" comment. He has the IQ of tree bark.Oblowhard has to be defeated in November.Burt,I have begun to spread the truth in my dealings with Assachusetts lemmings I encounter. Each and every day we are pumped full of Liberal/Socialist B.S. from news rags like the Boston Globe.Thankfully the Boston Herald is telling the right side of the story when it comces to responsible reporting.

Doktor: I'm not sure who is selling the hoodies; I didn't mean to suggest Martin's mother was the entrepreneur. I've had someone suggest that she only trademarked her son's name to prevent someone else from doing so and cashing in. I do suspect, though, that she is waiting for one of the networks to start bidding on her services to be a guest on The View or a sitdown with Diane Sawyer.Dave: The folks who should be in jail are Al Sharpton, who slandered the NYPD in the Brawley case, and Jesse Jackson, who made millions extorting money from companies he threatened to have boycotted.Burt

Burt...absolutely poignant! And also speaking of the election, what do the democrats have to lose by rigging the election, hacking voting machines, getting illegals to vote, payoffs, dead voters, etc.? Would the Republicans even challenge the votes and risk the uprising that would result if the rigged election was overturned?

Burt;Excellent piece re: the dead young hoodlum, not to mention pointing at the black thugs in Congress.Without dumb white kids there'd be no black rapper (mostly rabid racists) millionaires 'cuz there ain't nuff young blacks in the projects. Also, no one here mentioned that the so-called 'Tawana' case was a complete fraud & hoax. The problem is that most American whites, politicos & citizens alike are scared stiff of being called racist. Being a naturalized citizen whose ancestors were serfs & the last three generations have suffered political persecution white on white, I don't have this problem. When the 'reparations' issue surfaced during Klintons, I said publicly: like hell, I'm gonna pay, just try to collect from me!

Justice in modern America does not seem to hinge on the crime, just the race of the victim or the perpretrator. Has anyone said yet where Trayvon was shot? Was it in the front or in the back? And, was there anything found in Trayvon's blood according to the autopsy?

Burt, and Jeannette,If I may, (And I will, because I can,)All of the Racial BS is being stoked. I think you both agree.BUT, it is not the Racial that is the problem. It is the Cultural differences that need to be addressed, but are being ignored. It is the Mindset differences that need to be addressed, but are being ignored by the msm's.Poverty rates are manipulated. Greed and Envy are not seen as SIN anymore. God is no longer evn the co-pilot, He's outta the ride! (Which window he went out of, I have no clue. But I'm sure He's still flying right beside the car.)IOW, Don't let the media control the narrative.Burt, you usually do a great job of that. Robert Burger: I don't disagree with you. But I don't apologize for taking cheap shots. It's what I do. I suspect you were only irked this time because my target was Santorum. I don't often ridicule Republicans, but I believe Santorum has painted a target on himself by prolonging the agony...and I aim to keep firing buckshot until he accepts defeat like a grown-up.John Singer: You raise a legitimate point. However, the racial division in this country is also a cultural divide. Frankly, I have no idea what can be done for the 97% of blacks who will once again vote for Obama; the 90% that would vote for a liberal of any race in any election; the 73% of black babies born to unwed mothers; the 50% who drop out of high school; the huge percent of young black males who will wind up in jail or gunned down by other young black males; the folks who respond to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Whitney Houston, but not to Tom Sowell or Walter Williams; the blacks who think they are victims of white society and feel they are entitled to food stamps, homes and health care, because they had ancestors 150 years ago who were slaves.Whether you want to call it racial or cultural, America is divided between blacks and whites, and we have creeps in the White House and the Justice Department who think the easiest way to recognize villains is to look around for the nearest white person. Burt, I never regurguitate my thoughts posted to another commentator, in this case Emmett Tyrell, but I think you should understand how I am feeling. On several occasions, most recently in comments about Obama at Harvard, Mitt Romney has stated, "I think Obama is a nice guy."Well, if Mr. Romney thinks a pathological liar, identity fraud, racist, Marxist radical who is hell bent on destroying the American Republic is a nice guy, he is clueless and, certainly, does not deserve the Republican nomination. Are the same moronic consultants who took John McCain from American hero to cowering fool the same advising Romney? Any of you rich, entitled white guys who think someone who thinks Obama is a nice guy can defeat him in debates, let alone in the election, had better understand that the enemies to America are not nice, polite, civil, sophisticated, or principled. If you don't, you might as well go home. Please don't come to Tampa. We have wimps aplenty here already.Romney does not know how to fight. He had better find an advisor who does.....bare knuckled, jungle style, close combat.

Burt, those racial stats are certainly daunting. It must have been much worse back in the bad old days before integration, affirmative action, welfare, etc. No, wait a minute, it is much worse now. Would any politician have the guts to say that we should be free to associate or not associate with people on a basis of mutual acceptance? Would they have the guts to say that any legal preferences bestowed on one race, gender, etc, is a violation of the rights of all others? Or to say that they Constitution confers no authority on the federal government to dispense money for purposes other than national defense and international relations (and that the Commerce Clause applies only to regulation of duties collected on commerce between states)?

Burt Prelutsky

Attila: Most politicians have to be very careful what they say, whereas I don't. That's because I write for readers who are logical, non-biased and generally well-versed in political realities. If people don't like what I write, they are free not to read me or they can complain to the webmasters. But politicians require the votes of all kinds of people--including, in large numbers, stupid, lazy people who get all their information from left-wing newspapers, left-wing TV networks and left-wing teachers/professors. Holmes: Romney is running for president. He doesn't have to call Obama names. What's more, if he wants to win, he shouldn't call Obama names. That's my job and my pleasure. He merely has to factually point out the myriad of ways in which Obama is destroying America culturally, morally and financially.Burt

Holmes Simons
Friday, April 6, 2012 at 4:58 PM

Burt, I hope you're right, but the more I see Romney the more naive toward Obama he seems. McCain certainly let his handlers manipulate him into a politically correct posture that cost him the election. Don't get me wrong, I think Romney has the organizational skills to perform well as President. I fear, however, that he is oblivious to the fact that it is the psychological conditioning of Obama by pedophiles, communists, racists, and radicals that has resulted in the unconstitutional policies of his administration. Obama's concept of American principles and values is certainly different from mine, but I'm not so sure that Romney thinks they are that different from his. All of my marbles are in your sack when it comes to pronostication. Don't spill 'em.

Burt Prelutsky
Friday, April 6, 2012 at 6:31 PM

Holmes: I think Romney is going to depend on a cool demeanor to contrast with Obama's thin skin, and to run on his own record of accomplishment and againstObama's terrible record as president. So while I believe that McCain goofed when he didn't run against Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright and ACORN, I believe Romney would be wise to focus on what has happened to America over the past three years, and how he would go about rectifying the damage that Obama and his cronies have done.Burt
