@mac I bet their mommies and daddys don't give a hoot what they are doing, as long as their mansion isn't burning. More likely their Nanny or Butler is sooooo proud of the little marxists.

I found your last fact most interesting: the list of OWS supporters embrace both the totalitarian right and left, the national and international socialists. That makes them the most virulent enemies of real liberalism: classic liberalism I mean, a la Milton Friedman's "Capitalism and Freedom."Totalitarians utilize content to alter governmental structure, to place power in few hands. Obama has repeatedly usurped the prerogatives of all branches of government and is now as close to a dictator as America has seen.Their big problem is getting out the vote and Republicans will have to work hard against fraud. Remember that their greatest support comes from people they have hobbled with dependency and are therefore least likely to get up the energy to vote.

Look around the world at the socialist countries, which by far outnumber republics, and you will see that the socialist countries all have their elite class. The elite class is one usually closely associated with the socialist government and it's moste ardent supporters, the Progressives. The information provided by Walter in this commentary spells out for us who the socialist elite are in this country and it's richest counties closest to the seat of socialist government. We're treating the upcoming elections as if they are just another American election cycle. How dumb we are. It is anything but just another election.

I live in Fort Worth, TX, fairly close to Texas Christian University, where basic tuition costs are in excess of $30,000 per semester. It's surrounded by multi-million dollar homes, and a large percentage of the cars have Obama stickers on them. It's a pretty well established fact that if someone in this part of town is driving a Volvo or a Mercedes, you can bet they're Obozo supporters. Part of the 99%--I don't think so! On the other hand, you just have to drive to Walmart to see the other part of Obozo's voters--the real 99 percenters.

Abu, one correction... the totalitarian "right" (national socialism) is a propaganda victory that has been a hihgly successful attempt to distance the Left from nazism. In fact, they are both Leftist orgs and, as has been said, are just "rival gangs fighting over the same territory." Both are socialist-redistributionist; many if not most fascists/nazis in WW2 were former marxists (e.g., Mussolini), and it was well known the easiest recruiting to marxism was from nazism, and vice versa; the red color of the nazi flag was pulled from the favored revolutionary color of communism; nazis called each other "comrade," believed in top-down planning and had myriad socialistic policies (based on the welfarism/national health care of von Bismarck in the late 1800s); and they hated the aristocratic German officer corps (too bourgeoisie and Christian) and corporations in general. Nazism/fascism was and is a leftist cause, and only through successful Soviet propaganda was it classified as "right wing." Robert Tyson's "Target America" and Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism" document this extensively.

This is not about wealth. These people have rejected the Judeo/Christian philosophy of life and have embraced radical socialism in all it's forms. They feed and gain strength from each other. Mr. Obama holds the Constitution in contempt, and has done all in his power to weaken the moral fiber of America. I am amazed how many millions of my countrymen have fallen under his spell. The good news is God's church is taking a serious look at itself and is going back to it's roots and original purpose. If Obama gets a second term you will see a greater assault on people of faith. They will be made scapegoats for his failed programs, and economic woes. He is not a man who can take responsibility for his failures, he always points at someone else. God help us if he gets another term!

I agree with everything qualitative he says, including that OWS is a bunch of spoiled and utterly undemocratic brats. But the actual numbers bother me.For example: "The median value of the homes of the arrestees was $305,000" and "[n]inety-five of the arrestees lived in homes valued at more than $500,000." Can any statistician among the readers explain how this is mathematically possible?

Greg: I'm no statistician, but of 984 arrested 95 (not 95%) of them lived in homes valued at more than $500,000. A median of $305,000, therefore, is very possible.
