The city should be posting what the union thieves are making. I'm sure the average citizen would be happy to pay higher taxes so they can continue to bilk the taxpayers.

Even that progressive icon, FDR, understood that it was insane to allow public employees to unionize. This is a perfect example of why.

With the Democrats and Unions involved, an emergency is soon to follow, as in: get rid of them they are TRAITORS supported by useful idiots!

They could always call on Harry Reid for help, I'm sure he'd jet right back home to help them figure out their problems. That's a joke! He's too busy kiising Obummer's ass to pay any attention to them. Kinda serves them right after they strong armed their members into voting for that SOB in 2010.

It absolutely serves them right for reelecting Reid. They are paid WAY too much, and the pay scale goes for ALL of the public-sector workers. They act as though the taxpayers are an endless money tree, and they're worth more than all of the foolish "civilians" combined. Worse, they aren't forced to pay into a "Social Security" scam that may NEVER pay back one dime. Public-sector unions, as well as ALL forced-dues unions, should be outlawed. EVERY state should be a right-to-work state. I'm a 16 1/2 year union member, working for the largest employer of private sector union workers, My union takes our forced union dues and gives it to Marxist, racist, GIBLET (gay, Bi.Trans, Lesbo) groups, Communist groups and every DemonRat they can find. That money should go towards "bargaining" purposes, or be saved to help union members feed their families IF we are forced to go on strike. We've been working without a contract for a couple of months now, and the company has no intention of being reasonable. They came at us with the worst contract that this company has EVER seen (the company is over 100 years old). No job security, HUGE payments for our health care, and nothing good for the workers. All they care about is maintaining the hundred million dollar executive compensation packages. All the unions care about is maintaining the union, and maintaining the DemonRat/union money pump.

With that kind of pay, I'd LOVE to be a police officer in NLV!
When will the Democrat politicians and public sector unions realize that they're only enriching themselves in the short term? All they're doing is cutting off their own oxygen.
NLV should be investigated and officials should be charged just like in Bell, CA.
I can't believe private citizens of NLV could be that obtuse.

Billy 396 (obviously your union number): I have seen many 100 year-old companies fold for various reasons. I would reconsider my us-versus-them attitude and research what is actually going on with your company. There are many resources you can go to that have NO union propaganda involved. Of course, both have an invested interest in improving their own status. The union bosses want to continue to feather their nest (even more so than the company execs). The company wants to keep the company viable and growing so that can attract more investors who will provide capital to fund that growth. I'm sorry to burst your bubble; companies do NOT exist to provide employment. They exist to provide their investors (who risk their money) with a return on their investment and to reward management who must make the important decisions that will allow for growth in the long term. As long as employees can be productive and add value to the profit margin (oops, dirty word) they will be retained and even more hired so as to fuel new growth.
