What is a social security card then, if not a national identity card? A drivers license is honored in all states, is that not a national identity card. How about a passport? We have national identity cards now, well Obamao has a SSN from a dead person in a state he never lived in, so there are exceptions. What is readily apparent and the one real lesson from history, is that marxist statist liberal big government policy is, and has always been an abject failure.

A combination of ID's is best, that way, you recognize 50 different, and somewhat sovereign statehoods. A library card, a picture I.D., a valid birth certificate, a baptismal certificate, an eyeball scan-for pentagon security. a Tax exempt statement from a Church or synogogue., military I.D. etc..
