The Right Opinion
Bees and Sons of Bees
When I hear liberals in the media and Congress repeating Obama's lies while doing their best to make Romney appear to be a tax chiseler, a killer of cancer victims, a job destroyer and a candidate doomed to lose, I am reminded that whereas bees give up their lives to protect their queen, liberals are only willing to risk their reputations on behalf of their own.
Another lie that everyone on the Left seems dedicated to promoting is that the majority of the world's Muslims are decent and peace-loving. What absolute hogwash! I would first remind everyone that even in the heyday of Hitler and Stalin, not every German or Russian was a Nazi or a Communist. In every society, there are those who lead and those who follow. But once war breaks out, everyone falls into line.
The truth is that it's always a minority of activists who bring about change, be it for good, as with the American Revolution, or for evil, as with the French and Russian revolutions or the Arab Spring upheavals.
How much longer are we going to have to listen to the tripe our national leaders feed us about the small handful of Islamists who are causing all the trouble?
For the past 14 centuries, Islam has been the scourge of humanity. For the longest time, they tried to kill or convert everyone who was an infidel. When they found they couldn't defeat Christianity, they hibernated. But all it took was Jimmy Carter pulling the Persian rug out from under the Shah of Iran to incite renewed insanity in the Muslim world.
Over the past 30-odd years, we have seen these creatures in all their glory, whether it was blowing up embassies and skyscrapers or pizza parlors and school buses. We have seen them hang and burn people from bridges and behead others on television. And even here in America, we have seen any number of so-called honor killings brought about when fathers murdered their daughters because they dared to date non-Muslims, refused to marry a Muslim or, for all I know, neglected to make their beds.
These days, whenever the Muslims act up, the mealy-mouthed crowd in Washington blames it on some silly trigger. Sometimes it's a video or a cartoon or even a teddy bear, other times the blood-letting is blamed on Gitmo or an alleged trashing of a Koran.
Barack Obama, a man who hasn't yet seen fit to pay a visit to Israel, one of our few actual allies, wasted no time rushing off to Cairo in 2009 and announcing that "Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance."
Hell, Islam doesn't even have a proud tradition of tolerating Islam. If there's one thing they enjoy more than killing a Christian or a Jew, it's Shiites slaughtering Sunnis, and Sunnis getting a kick out of murdering Shiites.
Bibles are burned all over the Middle East, and Christians are crucified, and our president bows and scrapes, and members of Congress curry their favor with billions of our tax dollars.
In Afghanistan, we teach their soldiers and cops how to use weapons and, as a final exam, they prove how well they've learned their lessons by shooting our soldiers in the back.
If Muslims were from outer space, we would all band together to battle them, recognizing how deeply ingrained were their evil intentions. But because so far as we can tell, they're earthlings, we permit someone like Major Hassan to serve and be promoted in our military; we allow their clerics to enter our prisons and convert dangerous felons; we pretend that Pakistan, the country that shielded the mastermind behind 9/11 for a decade, is our ally in the war on terrorism; we permit Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to come to America and insult us at the U.N. Finally, for good measure, we remain in the U.N. where the Arab and Muslim countries out-number the western democracies and out-vote us time and again.
The terminally naïve were those who saw the upheavals in the Middle East led by the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda and imagined that something good was going to come of it. These people have been the dregs of the world for well over a thousand years, and were it not for the accident of oil lurking beneath the desert sand, they would still be riding around on camels and living in tents.
Although they are a backward and blood-thirsty lot, I still hold them in higher regard than I do our leaders who continue to curtsy to the followers of Islam, displaying what everyone knows is merely fear and disgust, but that they hope will be mistaken for tolerance and respect.

Burt, it is not only the Democraps telling lies about the rag Heads but the Republican Big Shots (you still can't call them leaders) also. During the weekend before the election of 2002 I was visiting my daughter at school. She was a member of the college Republicans. She had tickets to a speech Bush the Younger was giving. When Bush said Islam is a religion of peace, everyone in the hall probably heard me say Bovine Manure, but not those exact words. Good thing it was Bush and not Kommandant Klinton or Barry or the IRS would probably call me in for an audit, or maybe a visit by the Gestapo (oops federal agents). What I can't understand is how come the Republican Big Shots, including Romney, are not repeating the fact that Carter put the nut jobs in Iran in power.

Burt, take a look at the Romney ads, compare them with the Obama ads, then tell us we are not being fair to Romney.
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/politics/political-ad-tracker/most-recent
The Romney ads throw softballs while Obama throws rocks, it is Romney doing the filtering there, not the media, and hardly “it's not his fault that everything he says is filtered through the media and pronounced to be a gaffe.”
There is a reason Romney’s polls tanked the most in the battleground states, that is where the ad campaigns are concentrated, and Romney’s ad campaign is garbage compared to Obama’s.

Howard, I agree with your assessment. But there are "disconnects" in the Koran just as there are in the Bible. Both texts suggest that certain folks should be put to death (check out Leviticus 20 in the Bible), yet preach tolerance in other chapters. For me, I don't think it my job to pass judgment on my fellow man for a sin against the Bible: that is God's job and the perpetrators will reap what they sow come judgment day, for sure. If only other peoples believed this way toilerance would be the norm and we would have truly free speech.
I think Bush's intention may have been twofold: To reinforce the notion to Muslims that Islam should be a religion of peace, and also to try to keep Americans or other non-Muslims from carrying out attacks against peace loving Muslims and thus igniting a holy war. We are already perceived as doing that when in fact we are just trying to stamp out violence.
Just my two cents.

They did neither of those things.

Burt,
I wholeheartedly agree! I haven't seen any peace-loving Muslims. If there are any, they certainly hide within the woodwork and, most likely support their hate-loving Muslims through contributions and/or silence.
Every time I hear these jerks, Democrat or Republican, enunciate the opinion that they think that the Muslim faith, or Islam, is a religion of peace, I want to barf!
Plus, given the destruction those freakin' idiots did in Benghazi, Libya, I wonder why the hell we don't have fighter jets over Libya, trying to find something left of any importance to bomb the shit out of.
The religion of peace doesn't understand anything other than abject power! Screw them!

By the way, Burt, I do appreciate and have understood for some time why permitting Muslim on Muslim violence is, well, one of those good things that should be encouraged in this life; one that you have not really promoted, but allowed as not a bad thing for Americans and the West.
I think that came out right.

Hey rod, you seem to make a good point at first on the "disconnects" with both the bible and the Quran (and I'm no expert on either), however there is the issue of abrogation, which clearly differentiates at least Christianity from Islam. From the Christiian point of view, the arrival of the Christ replaced (or abrogated) the prior law of Judaism in favor of the teachings of Christ. Christians still reference the Hebrew laws as historically significant due to the relationship of one following the other, just as Americans still reference the Magna Carta and English Common Law, but hold to the Constitution as our legal and governing standard.
Abrogation plays a major role in Islam as well, where the more violent verses coming from the Medina period abrogated the more peaceful verses of the Meccan writings. Result - the fundamentals of Islam support and promote the use of violence to achieve Mohammed's ends of world domination. Whereas the teachings of Christ fundamentally speak out against violence and the use of violence in spreading the good word, regardless of what any bad actors may have done in the past in the name of Christ. It's all in the fundamentals my man.

Rod, your comparison between the Old Testament and the Koran is valid only if the New Testament is ignored. In my view those parts of the OT which are not verified in the New Testament are open to question by Christians, stoning to death being only one such example.

As to these "Rag heads" from an old Navy veteran. Back in 1958 I was on a Destroyer and we were in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain, Port Said, Egypt and other areas in the Middle-East. I can tell you from first hand experience that the hatred of the West is nothing new at all. Boats (Bum Boats we called them) used to come up to our ship with 5 or 6 men in them shouting curses at us, throwing knives and expressing their hatred of Eisenhower (who was President at the time) and all things involving the United States. It was necessary at times to use high pressure fire hoses to get them away.
That was 54 years ago and things have only deteriorated during all those years with billions of U.S. dollars in aid and pandering to these savages.
What will it take for our politicians to wise up?
I know, I know, they never will. .

Thank you Burt for once again telling it like it is! Every conflict in the world today is rooted in Islamic intolerance of "the infidel". If there are any "peaceful" muslims they sure as hell better speak up because things are, as Obama once said "turning in an ugly direction". Of course at the time we did not expect that he would be helping turn the winds in an ugly direction. Oh, an by the way, he also said that when the wind turned , he would "stand with Islam".
He predicted that when he was sworn into office the Muslim world would realize that he had been raised in Islam and understood their world. He said that "although I may be a Chistian" the Muslim world would be more receptive to him. I find it interesting that he did not say "although I am a Christian", because I do not believe that he is. He does not follow Judeo-Christian principles. He does not refer to the "Holy" Bible, only the (regular) Bible and the "Holy Koran" ( imagine the Paaaahhhhkeeestahhn accent). One of these days the truth will be told about this guy -- and we will see how half of America has been played for Obama fools.

BTW, I have been reading a book by Walid Shoebat. Now a Christian, he was a PLO Terrorist and has written a book showing how the coming Anti-Christ and the expected Muslim Mahdi are one and the same. I saw early last week an online news report of "Muslim Day" in Manhattan. Yes, that's right, they now have a day in September (!!!!!????) no less, to have a parade, with local electeds as marshals and grand marshals wearing said banners, and of course, what would Muslim Day be if not for hate speech by the so-honored Muslims in front of those same electeds on parade, now at rest in the grandstand. One state senator actually left the grandstand in disgust during the hateful diatribes by imams and others directed at the U.S. It seems this state senator was happy to be a parade marshal because he has a Muslim population in his district he was pandering to--and was caught by surprise at the speeches he was hearing and at the literature being handed out by these various factions of jihadists in our (and his) midst. I waited the rest of the week to see if he would issue a press release (he's known for churning those out by the boatload) or hold a press conference about hate speech by Islamists in the middle of their "adopted" country on Muslim Day, but nary a word or a peep out of him since. Just wanted you all to know the progress being made with the Islamic world as we infidels continue to roll out the magic red carpet in the USA and welcome their insanities. Also, at the UN, BO once again bowed to Islam and elevated it above other religions in the world, and above freedom of speech, our God-given right, when he said that "the future must not belong to those who would slander the prophet of Islam." This is fair warning to the rest of us to ponder those thoughts coming from him and the future he sees for freedom-loving American infidels.

Anywhere on earth that there are more than a few muslims there is trouble, If there are no infidels to kill they will fight amongst themselves. It is ingrained in their religion. Black Muslims of the Farakhan (sp?) stripe are no different. But our politicians keep telling us that they are such peaceful folks. Negotiating with Muslims is like negotiating with Nazis. They are only interested in those that convert, all others will be killed. Their religion requires it. Thanks Burt for telling it like it is.

Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afganistan are prime examples. As long as politicians run our wars we will never win another one. Of course, the fitrst thing we have to do is get rid of the political generals who permeate the military today. I served in the Army for 22 years and the changes in our top leaders were terrible. Just today, I read another story about a muslim (lower case intended) mother trying to kill her daughter for staying out too late at a concert. According to the mother, she's a whore and a prostitute because she wasn't home by 11:00 at the age of 19.
She said 'it was time to fix her', so she grabbed a kitchen knife, ran up the stairs, hugged her daughter, then began stabbing her over & over. Thankfully, the daughter survived and the mother is in jail. I would bet that she'll off scott free because of religious beliefs; I think the courts will cave because of the fear of muslim wrath.
islam is not a religion - it is a twisted, vile and evil cult. The so-called moderate muslims will only remain so until incited by their own radicals, at which point they have to join or die. Religion, my eye!

Great post Burt. Especially the writing about Muslims. When the mosque in Joplin,Mo. was burned to the ground this summer, a reward of something like $25,000.00 was put up for the apprehension of the individual responsible for the "hate crime", what-ever the hell a hate crime is. In my opinion, if he is caught, he should be given the reward. What needs to be done is to burn every single mosque in this country, and anyone who happens to be in them at the time. Then we should ship the survivors to Syria. If we don`t get serious about the threat we face from Islim, the game is going to be over, and we are going to be the losers.
