The Patriot Post's mission is to advocate for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and to promote free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values. Our objective is to provide Patriots across our nation with a touchstone of First Principles through brief, informative and entertaining analyses of relevant news, policy and opinion from reputable research, advocacy and media organizations, so they may better support and defend those Principles, and enlist others to join our ranks." —Mark Alexander, Publisher
The Patriot Post is not sustained by any political, special interest or parent organization, and we accept no advertising. Our mission and operations are funded entirely by the voluntary financial support of Patriots like you!
It starts with the idea that, "If you have nothing to hide you have no reason to object to being watched." I have read that plenty of times even here at the Patriot Post, although it only seems to apply to things the person saying it has no interest in doing. Once a society adopts that mindset there is no clear-cut point to draw the line.
Think about that the next time you get on an airplane, especially if you ever flew before September 11, 2001 and remember how it used to be.
Keep in mind that two cities that do this - San Antonio and Houston - are both in Texas, which is staunchly Republican. Romney won Texas in a 16-point landslide. Texas has a Republican governor. Republicans hold commanding majorities in both houses of the state legislature. Of the eight current members of the Texas Supreme Court: two were elected in a heavily-Republican state and the other six were appointed by Republican Governor Rick Perry.
As the article notes, RFID has been in place in public schools in Texas since 2004. This is not a Democrat / Republican thing: not in Texas. This happens there because Republicans WANT it to happen there.
Think about THAT next time somebody tells you that Republicans care about liberty.
The founders must be turning over in their graves.
