The Patriot Post's mission is to advocate for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and to promote free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values. Our objective is to provide Patriots across our nation with a touchstone of First Principles through brief, informative and entertaining analyses of relevant news, policy and opinion from reputable research, advocacy and media organizations, so they may better support and defend those Principles, and enlist others to join our ranks." —Mark Alexander, Publisher

Another low tax state to consider is Wyoming. We relocated to Wyoming form the Peoples Republik of New York State. There is no state income tax and property taxes are low. I pay just over $2,000 for ten acres, brand new house, three car oversize attached garrage. In the peoples republik I payed $23,000 for 1/3 acre and a 75 year old house. The state sales tax is 4% with counties able to add additional 2%. But the county tax is subject to a vote of the citizens and must be for a definite period and a definite purpose. In NYS I don't ever remember the subjects being able to vote on a tax. The legislature can only meet for 20 days in a budget session and 40 days in a regular session. They alternate every other year. The rest of the year the legislators have regular jobs. They also do not have any individual staff. Just don't broadcast this to much as we like it with only 500,000 residents. Traffic jams do not exist. And we are citizens here as opposed to subjects in NYS. No asking permission to exercise our Second Amendment Rights.
