The Patriot Post's mission is to advocate for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and to promote free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values. Our objective is to provide Patriots across our nation with a touchstone of First Principles through brief, informative and entertaining analyses of relevant news, policy and opinion from reputable research, advocacy and media organizations, so they may better support and defend those Principles, and enlist others to join our ranks." —Mark Alexander, Publisher
The Patriot Post is not sustained by any political, special interest or parent organization, and we accept no advertising. Our mission and operations are funded entirely by the voluntary financial support of Patriots like you!
The FAIR TAX is really the fairest tax. Eveyone who consumes pays, and pays according to what they think they can afford, without argument! Not that Congress, with all of their bad habits, cannot play with that also, exempting anything 'favored' (maybe food-staples; bicycles, windmills, electric cars, and trains for the start of what no-doubt would be a VERY-long list! ...any bets on whether yachts get exempted?!).If BO had a revelation and supported THAT, then we will know that he REALLY is a believer in getting re-elected and receiving another 4 years of those perks for the missus and he!Remember, the lefties are, after all, in the minority (though vocal!) and the welfare-receiver class could be encouraged with his verbal prowess to "carry their fair share" to be patriotic (HA!). With the rest of us being 'normal working stiffs', there just might be enough of a pragmatic-side to him that he sees a massive tax-structure overhaul as the way to guarantee those perks for another 4 years. Now THAT would be some CHANGE to HOPE for!!Then we could still vote him out in 2012.
