Why is that? It isn't stupidity. Whether overt or covert, they are obviously at war with American values and American citizens. They are the intolerant extremists demanding complete surrender to their world-view. Some Americans, though they might not know how best to express it, have had a belly full of this crap. While they very well might be praying they are also taking action.

Because I've subscribed to many over there years and there have been many an article and liberal organization fighting for women's rights in Muslim countries and decrying the violence against gays and lesbians. I think you may be confusing mainstream media with true progressive journalism such as Ms. Magazine, Mother Jones, Bust, etc...

Early this morning Fox ticker ran a story I haven't been able to confirm: that the imam of NY promoting the Cordoba project threatened a world-wide violent backlash if the mosque were to be moved or put on hold.
