“With respect to the Affordable Care Act … we’ve been having a political fight about this for five years,” said Barack Obama Thursday. “We need to move on with something else.” That said, he thinks the campaign can be about ObamaCare. “I think that Democrats should forcefully defend and be proud of the fact that millions of people like the woman I just described who I saw in Pennsylvania yesterday, we’re helping, because of something we did. I don’t think we should apologize for it. I don’t think we should be defensive about it. I think it is a strong, good, right story to tell.” Are they also proud that millions more are being harmed by the law? Whether its higher premiums, forced care they don’t want to pay for, coverage cancellation, or the penalty due for not signing up, the law is very painful for many. They know that as long as this law remains in place, it will be a lightening rod for every medical service or delivery complaint nationwide – and by extension any Democrat who voted for it will also be a lightening rod.
