U.S. Assists Iran’s Terrorism Funding

Some nuclear “deal,” eh?

It’s a good thing all that money we handed over to Iran after reaching a nuclear deal is being used for economic and social progress, right? Sure, if you consider additional funding for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas (and countless other radical Islamists, no doubt) to be “progress.” This week, Mohammad Fathali, the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, announced payments “worth $7,000 to every family of a martyr of the intifada in Jerusalem” and “$30,000 to every family whose home the occupation has demolished for the participation of one of its sons.” Naturally, the Palestinians are thrilled. Via The Jerusalem Post: “Hamas’ foreign relations chief, Osama Hamdan, who participated in the press conference, said that Hamas appreciates the Iranian initiative to support the Palestinian intifada, adding that this is not the first gesture Iran has made to Palestine and that the former treats the Palestinian issue as ‘its own issue.’” This should put to rest any and all claims that Iran ever had any intention of abandoning its radical roots.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, “This shows that Iran, even after the nuclear agreement, is continuing to aid terrorism, including Palestinian terrorism, Hezbollah terrorism and its assistance to Hamas.” He added, “This is something that the nations of the world must confront and condemn, and assist Israel — and other countries, of course — in repelling.” It’s not surprising, really, that Iran pledged to abide by the rules only to turn around and use the more than $100 billion unfrozen by the United States to further promote terrorism. And to say the current administration is in complete denial is a gross understatement. For example, John Kerry claimed this week, “If we hadn’t done this [nuclear] agreement and I didn’t have a relationship with [Iran’s] foreign minister [Javad Zarif], then [our sailors] probably would have been hostages and they might still be there.” On the contrary, we and the rest of Western civilization are merely Iran’s puppets. How much more delusional can this administration get?
