The latest example of women’s sports being infiltrated by men posing as women came over the weekend when a “transgender”-identifying man, Hailey Davidson, won the NXXT Women’s Classic golf tournament in Florida.
The NXXT is the feeder league for the LPGA professional tour. In defeating his female opponents, Davidson limited the opportunity for biological women to make their way onto the LPGA tour. Upon his victory, Davidson and the NXXT received public blowback, which Davidson initially called “misinformed hatred.”
Born James Scott Davidson in Scotland, he began gender-bending hormonal treatments at the age of 18 in 2015. In 2021, he underwent genital “reassignment” surgery.
Back in 2010, the LPGA removed its “female at birth” requirement, opening the door for the gender-benders. Now, as public sentiment has increasingly shifted against biological men competing in women’s sports, the NXXT is promising to poll its players on its “transgender”-inclusion policies and has requested that Davidson “undergo additional testosterone testing to ensure compliance with the appropriate guidelines.”
NXXT CEO Stuart McKinnon added: “We understand that this topic evokes strong feelings and diverse viewpoints. We encourage constructive dialogue and respect for all athletes who strive to compete at the highest levels of their sport.” He further claimed that the league was “committed to upholding the highest standards of the sport, supporting our players’ aspirations, and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere that embraces innovative changes,” and that the league is committed to “transparency and thoroughness in addressing this matter.”
Davidson blasted the decision. “It’s always interesting how no one gets angry until there is any form of success,” he bitterly complained. “While this win was amazing, unlike every article is saying, I am so incredibly far from the LPGA Tour with a lot of work to be done to possibly earn my way there one day. I will never allow hate to win, especially when based in some misinformation.”
In one sense, it’s hard to blame Davidson for this, as it was the LPGA that opened the door for this gender-bending problem to infect its sport. The leadership was likely too cowed by the Rainbow Mafia when the decision was made. They may have believed it to be little other than a virtue signal at the time without any significant negative ramifications.
Well, now with years of this gender-bending nonsense only getting worse in women’s sports, there is simply no avoiding the issue. While NXXT’s decision to have Davidson undergo further testosterone testing is a bit of a win, it’s far from a policy reversal needed to protect women in the sport. As Riley Gaines observed: “Public pressure works. Don’t make the mistake of assuming people will do the right thing unprovoked.”
Finally, the accusations of “hate” and “transphobia” leveled against those who dare stand up in support of truth and fairness are indeed tiresome, but this boldness to stand must be embraced and encouraged. Standing up against the bullying and hateful smears of the Rainbow Mafia and steadfastly holding the solid ground of truth is what will lead to eventual victory over this socially destructive cultural contagion.
