The Patriot Post® · 'No Justice, No Peace!'
How long have we been hearing the “No justice, no peace” cry from the far-Left in this country? Ever since the “Hands up, don’t shoot” lie of Michael Brown, a thug who tried to take a police officer’s weapon and was shot. There have been many other bogus “hate crimes,” including the most damaging: the death of George Floyd.
The Democrats have made “No justice, no peace” their rallying cry, even kneeling in a moment of silence in the halls of Congress wearing “Kente cloth” scarfs from Ghana honoring Floyd, a career criminal. It’s amazing who the Left’s heroes are! Democrats have yet to offer a moment of silence for the law enforcement officers who are being murdered on the job seemingly every week since the George Floyd rioting.
Far-left groups supported by the likes of George Soros and wealthy Biden donors are funding the many protests across the nation at schools and universities. We saw it coming for years. Now the chickens really have come home to roost. Our children have been indoctrinated to hate America. Now we’re importing people from nations that hate us to join them. There are tens of thousands of students from Middle Eastern nations in our schools joining the protests. Have we gone insane?
We hear chants like “Death to Israel,” “Death to America,” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” Many of these kids whose brains are filled with mush from their radical professors don’t even know what they’re protesting. But, like little robots, they do what they’re told, and parents are paying for it.
This didn’t happen in a vacuum. It began over a century ago when Marxists implemented their plans to eliminate Christian values and principles from our society. First it was prayer, then the Bible, followed by the Ten Commandments, and here we are. As Scripture says, “Every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25) A good portion of the church allowed it to happen. We lacked the moral courage to stand up for our beliefs. Instead of the church influencing the culture, the culture has influenced the church.
I’ve said this before: It’s not too late to turn this around, but it’s going to cost us something. It cost Daniel a night in the lion’s den, but with a miraculous deliverance (Daniel 6). It cost Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego time in the fiery furnace and then another great deliverance (Daniel 3). Having moral courage resulted in Joseph being thrown in prison, only to be promoted to “Prime Minister” under Pharaoh over the land of Egypt.
There are more stories like this, but you get the point. You might say, Roger, you’re an old guy, retired, and have nothing to lose. That might be, but have you noticed the number of Christians across the nation being prosecuted, such as pro-lifers? Or those escorted through the Capitol on January 6 who were later arrested and are still confined in jail cells? They’re not all young people. Faith costs, but I wouldn’t want to live my life any other way.
Our cultural regression started by taking God out of the marketplace. We can revert back to progress by taking our culture back with prayer, fasting, and bold witnessing. Remember Paul’s words of encouragement to a struggling church: “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.” (Galatians 6:9)
I have a chant: “No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace!”
