BIDEN HAS A TRACK RECORD OF FAILING TO HONOR D-DAY

• Joe Biden is in France to deliver remarks commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy.
• However, Biden has a proven track record of failing to honor D-Day during his tenure as president – failing to recognize the anniversary, mixing up dates, and making up stories.
  • During his first year in office, Biden completely failed to acknowledge the 77th anniversary of D-Day.
  • The next year, Biden nearly missed the anniversary again and only acknowledged the 78th anniversary of D-Day at 8:45 PM, after reporters noted Biden had yet to acknowledge it.
  • Biden has repeatedly confused when D-Day occurred, including claiming it was “on December the 7th” when the attack on Pearl Harbor occurred.
  • Biden regularly confuses D-Day with January 6.
  • Biden has claimed D-Day took place on a Sunday; in reality, it took place on a Tuesday.
  • Biden has falsely claimed his uncle joined the military the day after D-Day despite service records showing Biden’s uncle was already an enlisted servicemember years prior to D-Day.

BIDEN CAN’T ESCAPE HIS FOREIGN POLICY FAILURES ON HIS TRIP TO FRANCE

• While Biden is in France, he will also attend a state visit in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron and deliver prepared remarks in Pointe du Hoc, France about “the importance of defending freedom and democracy.”
  • Yet back at home, Biden is destroying America’s system of law and order by weaponizing the government against his political opponent.
• Biden’s visit to France comes amid an ongoing streak of foreign policy failures.
• Under Biden, both France and the United States continue to bleed important influence and strategic military interests in Africa to foreign adversaries like Russia, China, and Iran.
  • France has been driven out of multiple African countries by Russia since 2020, including Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, and the Central African Republic.
  • Meanwhile, the United States is now withdrawing U.S. troops from both Chad and Niger, abandoning a key $110 million U.S. air base that was built just six years ago.
• In Biden’s latest attempt to placate Iran, his administration has pressured France to not confront Iran on its nuclear program despite France and Britain leading an effort to censure Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
  • European diplomats have said that the Biden administration appears unwilling to pursue serious diplomacy with Iran or take disciplinary action over Iran’s nuclear actions.
  • This follows a long pattern of appeasement by Biden that has simply emboldened Iran.
• Since Biden took office, France has failed to meet the NATO commitment to spend 2 percent of GDP on defense each year.
  • In President Trump’s final year, France finally met the 2 percent
• U.S.-France relations have been strained during Biden’s tenure.
  • France recalled its U.S. ambassador in 2021 to protest the United States pushing France out of a near $100 billion deal with Australia to purchase submarines.

BIDEN’S WEAKNESS HAS THROWN THE WORLD INTO CHAOS

• Biden is too weak to serve as the leader of the free world.
  • A recent U.S. Justice Department special counsel report found Biden to be an “elderly man with a poor memory” that has displayed “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”
  • Just a few months ago, Biden confused President Macron with François Mitterrand, who served as French president from 1981 to 1995 and died in 1996.
  • This year, Biden claimed his son is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery in France.
• At age 81, Biden is the ninth oldest national leader in the world, with French President Emmanuel Macron 35 years younger than Biden. 
• The White House now makes several accommodations for Biden’s diminished faculties, such as extra-large font on his teleprompter and notes directing him what to say and who to call on.
• During his state visit with President Macron in 2022, Biden relied on a list of White House-approved reporters to answer questions during the bilateral press conference.
• Additionally, Biden has stopped wearing dress shoesto reduce the risk of falls, has been urged to walk shorter distances while on camera, and now uses the short stairs to board and exit Air Force One to avoid tripping.

BIDEN’S FOREIGN POLICY TRACK RECORD IS RIDDLED WITH FAILURES

• As President, Biden has continued his decades-long career of being wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue. 
• Under Biden, America’s adversaries have been emboldened, the Taliban have a safe haven in Afghanistan again, Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, China is menacing Taiwan, and Iran has amassed enough enriched uranium to fuel three nuclear weapons. 
• Biden has repeatedly failed to counter China’s abuses and threats to American national security.
  • On Biden’s watch, China has been secretly building military facilitiesin other countries, increasing its use of cyberattacks, and targeting Taiwan economically. 
  • China is reportedly setting up a military training facility in Cuba “that could lead to the stationing of Chinese troopsand other security and intelligence operations just 100 miles off Florida’s coast.”
  • Chinese warships and fighter jets have performed dangerous maneuvers close to U.S. warships and aircraft – including cutting off one of our warships at a distance of 150 yards.
  • Biden has failed to stand up to China on its human rights abuses, including the Chinese Communist Party’s genocide of the Uyghurs. 
• Biden did not respond with sanctions or diplomatic expulsions after China carried out a malicious cyberattackon Microsoft.
• Biden failed to confront China on the origins of the coronavirusafter promising he would “insist” on getting answers.
• Biden approved license applications worth hundreds of millions of dollarsfor China’s blacklisted Huawei company despite its long history of deception, lying, and close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
• Biden’s disastrous appeasement strategy with Iran failed spectacularly and has endangered the United States and its allies.
  • Iran’s stockpile of near-weapons-grade uranium has now reached a record-high and could be converted to fuel three nuclear weapons within a matter of days.
  • Under Biden, his administration relaxed oil sanctions enforcement and allowed Iran to profit on $80 billion in illicit oil sales, a five-year high for the largest state sponsor of terror. 
  • Biden gave $6 billion in ransom to Iran in a lopsided prisoner exchange despite Biden’s administration acknowledging there was a “high risk” doing so could boost Hamas.
• Biden’s calamitous Afghanistan withdrawal left hundreds of Americans stranded behind enemy lines for months and resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.
  • Retired General Frank McKenzie, who served as Commander of the U.S. Central Command, said Biden’s withdrawal has limited America’s ability to provide warnings of violent extremist organizations threats from Afghanistan making America less safe.
  • Biden left behind billions in U.S. military equipment, which have since made their way to other conflicts and into the hands of Pakistan-based terrorist organizations.
•  Caving to progressive anti-Israel and antisemitic “activists,” Biden has backtracked on his initial support for Israel.
  • Biden said it was “a big mistake” to push for the total elimination of Hamas.
  • Biden paused an ammunition shipment to Israel amid of flurry of antisemitic protests on college campuses.
  • Biden was recently caught saying he would have a “come to Jesus meeting” with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and had previously called Israel’s response to Hamas’ horrific attack “over the top.”
  • The United States failed to veto a UN Security Council Resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire without a demand for Hamas to release the hostages still being held in Gaza.
  • Biden harshly responded to the tragic accidental killing of several aid workers by Israeli forces, while his administration ignores the United States’ own miscalculated military strikes on his watch.
  • Biden has systematically undercut Israel at the UN since day one by rejoining the antisemitic UNHRC, bankrolling UNRWA’s Hamas collaborators, cancelling UN sanctions on Iran, and participating in a moment of silence for President Raisi and demanding that the IDF stand down in Rafah.
