That aside, Trump still has the same problem. That is, convincing the 15% or so of undecided voters and never-Trumpers to cast a vote for him. He has never been able to talk to this bunch, and he never will. "National debt reaching WWII levels begs an interesting question: In 1941, we were in a position to take on enough debt to fund total war. If we’re already at that level today, what happens when WWIII breaks out? Who will buy those bonds when half of a war-weary country’s people will likely root for the enemy, and the other half’s faith in government is so low? “I live in Florida — have for a few years. The contrast between this state and Illinois (I lived there most of my life) is remarkable. The roads aren’t more potholes than pavement. There are grass, flowers, and trees alongside the roadways instead of weeds and trash. Taxes are closer to reasonable (no state income tax here). The governor actually makes sense when he speaks and SHOWS UP. Gov. DeSantis (and Gov. Scott before him) actually PLAN AHEAD when a hurricane threatens. The state has a budget surplus, not ruinous debt. I was both disappointed and relieved when Gov. DeSantis dropped out of the presidential race; it would have been a loss to the state.” —Florida

Electing a bumbling race huckster as mayor over an actually qualified applicant makes you wonder if racism is in play here. Chicago has other little problems, such as trying to avoid a massive gang war between Venezuelan illegal immigrant thugs and the home-grown black gangs, or dealing with the massive influx of illegals who have overrun the city.
