“One hopes this is more of Trump’s alleged ‘4D Chess,’ a choreographed ruse pre-agreed upon by both parties with an intended effect of sowing confusion and perhaps missteps as well on the part of Russia, and an opening for Europe and its sock-puppet rulers to step in and bolster their end of support agreements — both a win-win for America. Then, coming behind all that, the mineral deal with a bit more flesh in the security agreement part. Win-win-win. Unlikely, perhaps, but let’s not rule it out.” —Oklahoma

“Bad manners from a man who has been under siege for three years is no surprise. He is the poster child for PTSD. That he would take advice from Democrats that served to precipitate his difficulties on the way to a meeting to help him fix his problems is another sign of a besieged man trying to save a country. “Stopping further killing of the Ukrainian people and widespread destruction of their infrastructure is the commonsense paradigm in ending the war with Russia. The Biden administration’s senseless handover of billions of U.S. dollars of equipment and weapons to Ukraine did very little to prevent the carnage and suffering that has befallen their nation, and continuing on this path only extends the tragedy and must be considered insane. Shame on the Democrats who met with Zelensky and put their hatred of Trump above what’s best for Ukraine and the free world by sabotaging the scheduled peace deal. “It boggles the mind that the Barnard authorities banned the police from entering campus and arresting the protestors. When and if the police and ICE get involved in arresting the violent protestors and deporting the foreigners with student visas, the protests will stop. “Building our Navy to fighting strength will ensure our national security. Another benefit would be economic. Much as the armament buildup during WWII pulled America out of the Depression and the space race in the ‘60s kept recession at bay, the necessary buildup of the Navy using American materials and labor would have a huge economic impact on the welfare of American manufacturing and technology development.” —California

“While you’re building ships, you need to be rebuilding the command structure as well. When you have an aircraft carrier being hit by a cargo ship, you have serious problems with who is commanding these ships. Real commanders/warriors were pushed out of the military during the Biden and Obama eras. These commanders were replaced by political officers who would follow the administrative line. To have new ships commanded by incompetent commanders is ridiculous. This is true across all branches of the military.” —Idaho

“I’m a gun owner, veteran, and 2A supporter, and I have a concealed carry permit. I support the idea that national reciprocity will be a great advantage for responsible gun owners to be able to carry firearms and protect themselves and their loved ones at home and on the road. I understand that there will always be folks who will protest the idea of anyone carrying a gun, but I believe the benefit of concealed carry anywhere will be better for all. I look forward to when the legislation passes and becomes law.” —Arizona

“Similar claims have been made against Indian boarding schools in the United States, but none has ever been proved. That hasn’t stopped present-day writers from repeating the tales as fact in 'history’ and asserting the students were victims of wicked white people bent on eradicating native culture. In reality, the motives were to help the children make their way in a society very different from that of their parents and learn of Christ.
