The Patriot Post® · Anti-Semitic Terror in Boulder
An illegal alien from Egypt perpetrated an anti-Semitic terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday afternoon, and in the background of many videos and photos of him during the attack was the county courthouse with its garish “progressive pride flag” hanging on the windows. A Muslim attacking Jews in front of a pride flag. Does anything scream “coexist” more loudly?
The Boulder gathering at the Pearl Street Mall involved a group called Run for Their Lives, which calls itself “an apolitical global organization with the sole mission of walking peacefully to raise awareness for the 58 hostages still held in captivity by Hamas in Gaza.”
Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, yelled anti-Israel slogans like “Free Palestine,” “End Zionists; they are killers,” and “How many children you killed?” He threw Molotov cocktails at the crowd, injuring at least eight victims, some with severe burns. One victim is reportedly an 88-year-old Holocaust refugee. He now faces murder, assault, hate crime, and other charges.
Less than two weeks ago, another anti-Israel assailant declaring “Free Palestine” murdered two Israeli embassy workers in DC.
FBI Director Kash Patel called it a “targeted terror attack.” Colorado Democrat Governor Jared Polis, who is Jewish, called it a “heinous act of terror.”
Indeed, it is. The intifada is here.
Nevertheless, hours later, Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn insisted, “We’re not calling it a terror attack at this point” because it “would be irresponsible” and “way too early to speculate motive.”
Give me a break.
“Both attacks are the direct result of months of anti-Israel propaganda, moral equivocation, and silence in the face of raging antisemitism,” said Jim Berk, CEO of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, which works to oppose anti-Semitism through educational initiatives. “The nonstop demonization of Israel and Zionism on our campuses, in our streets, and across digital platforms has created a climate where hate flourishes, and physical attacks — even murder — of Jews is inevitable.”
Aside from months of anti-Semitic protests and worse happening on American college campuses, some recent examples of anti-Israel propaganda come from media reports.
“Gaza ministry says Israel kills more than 30 aid seekers, Israel denies,” headlined Reuters on the same day as the Boulder attack. Anything “reported” by the Gaza Health Ministry is, at best, highly suspect, if not outright lies meant to smear Israel. Hamas fighters build tunnels and bunkers under hospitals and schools so that if and when Israeli soldiers do kill a civilian, Hamas cowards can hide behind their human shields and gain sympathy from the international media and global left-wingers.
In this case, it was supposedly just innocent people coming for food. Reuters’ second sentence, however, is this: “The U.S.-based Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said food was handed out without incident on Sunday at the distribution point in Rafah and there were no deaths or injuries.”
A couple of weeks ago, United Nations humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher warned that 14,000 babies in Gaza would die because of Israel’s war on Hamas (which, he neglected to note, Hamas started with a brutal attack, killing 1,200 innocent people and taking 250 hostages). The would-be killer in Boulder yelled about killing children.
Again, the Boulder assailant was also here illegally. Soliman “allegedly flew into the U.S. on Aug. 27, 2022, arriving at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa,” Fox News reports. “Soliman was authorized to stay through Feb. 26, 2023, but never left, according to officials. On Sept. 29, 2022, he filed a claim, possibly for asylum. On March 29, 2023, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), under the Biden administration, gave him work authorization, which was valid through March of this year.”
Amidst the Joe Biden/Kamala Harris border invasion, it’s easy to forget that visa overstays account for a sizable portion of the illegal population.
Finally, the aforementioned Boulder police chief highlights another element that I mentioned at the outset. Redfearn’s bio says he served as “the Department’s LGBTQ+ police liaison,” and Boulder is infamous for its Rainbow Mafia membership.
The attack happened in front of the Boulder County Courthouse, which displays the hideous progressive pride flag that we’re going to see everywhere for the month of June. On Friday, the city celebrated having bestowed the nation’s first same-sex “marriage” license — all the way back in 1975. On Friday, the Rainbow Mafia recognized the courthouse as a national landmark to the “pride” movement for that marriage license.
It makes me wonder whether Soliman didn’t have more than one motive. The Rainbow Mafia often lines up with Hamas, but that doesn’t mean it’s a two-way street.

Post script: To add to the media malfeasance above, The Washington Post was worse than Reuters. As The Washington Free Beacon headlines, “Washington Post Cited Hamas To Allege, Without Evidence, That Israel Gunned Down Gazans at Aid Site. Then It Changed the Story Without A Correction.”
The New York Times, meanwhile, left out the attacker’s nationality and illegal status in its initial coverage.
Yet NBC may win the prize, going to great lengths to avoid using the word “Jews,” instead calling victims “Gaza-hostage-awareness marchers.”
Update 6/3: According to state court documents, the assailant told investigators “he researched on YouTube how to make Molotov Cocktails, purchased the ingredients to do so, and constructed them.” Evidently, he “had to use Molotov cocktails [for the attack] after he was denied the purchase of a gun due to him not being a legal citizen.”
