The Patriot Post® · Joe Biden's Spokesparrot Turns 'Independent'

None other than former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is the latest partisan hack to cash in on the Democrat civil war. She has announced a book titled Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines, and it’s due out on October 21. This was her way of announcing that she is officially no longer a Democrat.

The Barnes & Noble description of the book notes, “In a country obsessed with blind loyalty to a two-party democratic system, Karine Jean-Pierre, former White House press secretary to the Biden-Harris administration, shares why Americans must step beyond party lines to embrace life as Independents. Jean-Pierre didn’t come to her decision to be an Independent lightly. She has served two American presidents, Obama and Biden.” It ends by saying, “She urges Americans to think outside of the blue-and-red box as we consider what’s next to save our democracy.”

While the title suggests this may be another disclosure-after-the-fact sort of book like Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s “exposé” about the cover-up of President Biden’s decline, Jean-Pierre may in fact be on the other side of the Democrat Party civil war. KJP, after all, was one of Biden’s most fervent defenders whenever anyone questioned his presidential fitness or suggested mental decline. She seems to have taken umbrage at the way Biden was forced out of his reelection campaign by the Democrat powers that be.

Her urging of Americans to become independents is interesting, but she needs to define her terms. Does she mean regular Americans who could vote either way in an election, or does she mean radical Bernie Sanders bros? Given her history, the latter option seems to track better.

Is there an audience for her book? Especially at a cost of $29 for the hardcover and $14 for the ebook version?

Those of us on the Right would rather not hear another word from this incompetent former press secretary who was contemptuously dismissive and historically bad at her job. It seems there is a similar sentiment on the Left. The New York Post procured this statement from a prominent Democrat source: “What her publisher means to tell readers is that she is INCOMPETENT, not independent. Just incompetent. But we don’t need to read about it — we watched it.”

According to Politico, “The attention-grabbing ploy [KJP’s upcoming book] lit up Democratic and Biden alumni texting groups and reignited frustrations that burned for years about Jean-Pierre, according to seven former Biden administration officials granted anonymity to describe private conversations.”

Clearly, both the Left and the Right knew she was a joke and terrible at her job. Yet the Democrats put up with her.

Why?

Well, she is a black lesbian, a quintessential DEI hire who bumbled through her duties and was unconvincing as well as irritating. Now she is on to peddling her special knowledge and victim status. What remains to be seen is who the oppressor is that turned her independent.
