The Patriot Post® · Left-Wing Rhetoric = Left-Wing Violence
Left-wing violence starts with a permission structure that left-wing politicians create. That structure is shaped by these politicians’ rhetoric when they face disagreement with their colleagues on the other side of the aisle.
Take, for example, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). In March 2020, Schumer stood outside the Supreme Court to give a speech in support of abortion. The Supreme Court was hearing a case concerning a Louisiana state law that required abortionists to have admitting privileges to a hospital within 30 minutes of abortion clinics. Yet instead of sticking to the point at hand — which for Schumer and his ghouls was about abortion access, not the safety and well-being of women and their innocent preborn children — he decided to lean into political theater, voice his frustration, and threaten the Supreme Court justices.
Schumer angrily threatened two of the conservative justices specifically, calling them out by name and putting a target on their backs. He said, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch; I want to tell you, Kavanaugh: You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

This rhetoric was intended to be threatening. And lo and behold, not two years later, Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s life was threatened by a young man from California. Angered by the leaked Dobbs v. Jackson opinion, the man decided he was going to kill Justice Kavanaugh in revenge. Thankfully, he did not go through with the assassination, but the fact he came so close to murdering a Supreme Court justice and setting fire to the country is sobering.
Where did he get the idea that Kavanaugh should “reap the whirlwind”? I’ll give you one guess.
Of course, Schumer did not directly tell that young man to assassinate someone, but his careless and dangerous rhetoric set up the permission structure, and a deranged individual decided to take him up on it.
Now let’s fast-forward to last week. On Wednesday night, Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s home was swatted. For those unfamiliar with the term, swatting is when a bad actor calls 911 to report a pretend situation that requires SWAT team intervention.
SWAT teams are specially trained to take out deadly threats. Justice Barrett is a mother with several children at home. Calling in a SWAT team to, at the very least, disrupt her family or even end up getting someone shot or killed is insidious.
Justice Barrett was not the only prominent conservative targeted recently. Another left-wing man, convinced by the legacy media and leftist pundits alike that Christian Nationalism is an existential danger, threatened to murder Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk. The young man from Texas, whose rap sheet already includes two felonies, made a post threatening to bomb the young widow at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, where a three-day Women’s Leadership Summit is scheduled to be held this coming weekend.
“I know exactly where to bomb,” the would-be assassin said. He made another comment later: “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort.”
Law enforcement tracked the man down and arrested him on Thursday.
If anyone ever had any doubts about the existence of demons, the way that this grieving widow and her children have been persecuted since Charlie Kirk’s assassination might just make you a believer.
The attacks from the Left are escalating. Why? Because the Left wants to accrue power. The permission structure for left-wing violence starts with the politicians, filters down to the pundits and the influencers, and is then carried out by their useful idiots. They need to reverse course, and soon.
