Arguably the most anticipated movie of the summer is about to hit theaters on July 17. “The Odyssey,” director Christopher Nolan’s latest epic adventure, retells the story of Odysseus, yet all anyone can seem to talk about is his odd casting choices — from Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy to not hiring a single Greek actor or actress. However, Nolan’s most notorious decision was casting Ellen “Elliot” Page as a Greek warrior.

Page is a diminutive female actress best known for her role in movies like “Juno” and “Inception.” Six years ago, however, the lesbian actress decided to go down the gender ideology rabbit hole by abandoning her “wife” and “transitioning” into a male. Ellen became Elliot.

Page has been in the news lately because of rumors that she had landed the role of Achilles. In Greek mythology, Achilles is the greatest warrior whose only weakness is his heel. Nolan fans were flummoxed that the director would choose a five-foot-one-inch actress to play such a role. However, the rumor proved false. Page still plays the role of a Greek warrior, just not the one who is ripped and larger than life.

Page plays the character Sinon, who is featured in Virgil’s poem The Aeneid. As the Washington Examiner’s Bethel McGrew explains:

Sinon is key to the sack of Troy, which Nolan evidently wants to milk for maximal cinematic effect. A trickster figure, the warrior stays behind and persuades the Trojans to welcome the infamous horse. There are hints that the film will trace Sinon’s grim arc, including what may be a brief glimpse of his afterlife in the Underworld. In one sense, you could say it’s a morbidly fitting role: a doomed trickster who lives and dies by deception.

Perhaps Page’s real art-imitating life experience is believing her own lies about herself. In interviews, she has claimed to be an authority on masculinity, all while hyper-analyzing how she is “supposed to act.” It’s a role she is playing and a mask she is wearing. You can see it in the way she attempts to explain healthy masculinity to a reporter in this viral clip from a month ago:

Page is also quick to play the victim. She is the victim of predation from directors, famous actors, and Hollywood. She is the victim of her parents’ divorce. And now she has put herself in the most protected victim class: gender ideologues.

“The world tells us that we aren’t trans but mentally ill,” Page wrote in her memoir. “That I’m too ashamed to be a lesbian, that I mutilated my body, that I will always be a woman, comparing my body to Nazi experiments. It is not trans people who suffer from a sickness, but the society that fosters such hate.”

You see, the problem is you, not her.

Page has also said that her critics “must just be so profoundly uncomfortable with themselves, they can’t handle that someone could get to a place that.” She continued, “Trans people do get to, which is a level of self-acceptance and understanding that I think is really beautiful and profound.”

Transgenderism is the exact opposite of “self-acceptance.” It is purposely disfiguring and harmfully drugging your body in the attempt to force that body to be something it is not. Body and soul are one; therefore, destroying the body in this manner is a reflection of the inner destructiveness of gender ideology. The only profundity in such an ideology is how blinded to reality it makes its adherents.

Ellen Page has legitimately been through some hard things in life. Being in the industry at such a young age — we’ve all heard and seen the horror stories of how child actresses are broken by Hollywood — and experiencing divorce are enough to destabilize anyone. Yet her choices are not those that a healthy and stable person would make. We can also deduce that Page did not receive the help she should have for those destabilizing events in her life. Instead, she was probably encouraged to pursue the gender ideology rabbit hole to great depths. Today, she is playing the role of “male,” which is hollowing her out, all while people continue to cheer.

As an activist, Page might realize that the Rainbow Mafia seriously overplayed its hand by demanding authoritarian submission. The tide is shifting on transgenderism, as even the placate crowd is beginning to question the validity of unbridled transgenderism. Author J.K. Rowling put it best back in December when she wrote:

As the vibe shifts, and a lot of people in the elite professions start trying to reposition themselves, the obvious place to start is, ‘it’s not that I couldn’t see your point, but did you have to say it that way?’ We dissenters were supposed to find a way of questioning the chemical castration of children while calling it ‘gender affirming care.’ We were meant to defend the rights of vulnerable women while also using female pronouns for male rapists. We should have found a way to discuss fairness for women and girls in sport, while pretending that the ineradicable physical advantage men have over women doesn’t exist.

Either a man can be a woman, or he can’t. Either women deserve rights, or they don’t. Either there’s a provable medical benefit to transitioning children, or there isn’t. Either you’re on the side of a totalitarian ideology that seeks to impose falsehoods on society through the threat of ostracisation, shaming, and violence, or you’re not. The alternative to being ‘blunt’ — using accurate, factual language to describe what was going on — was to surrender freedom of speech and espouse ideological jargon that obfuscated the issues and the harms caused. We’ve always needed blunt people, but we need them most of all when being asked to bow down to a naked emperor.

This cosplay by Page crumbles when brought to the light of reality.

Page is not a man; she is a gender-confused woman whose pain is being exploited by ideologues and those who refuse to hold the line on truth in order not to hurt someone’s feelings. This is not progress; it is regression. Page is on display not because of her great acting but because of her mental illness and victimitis. Nevertheless, she’ll continue to be lied to and continue to lie to herself just to prove her own dedication to the lie.

In a way, Ellen Page is on her own Odyssey. She has left the war of Troy (Hollywood abuse) and is now floating from island to island (gender identity madness), literally losing pieces of herself along the way. The real question is, will she ever find her way back to Ithaca — i.e., back to reality?
