Re: The Hilarious Leftmedia Pearl Clutching Over Air Force One

“Perhaps the cowardly, lying Leftmedia should stay away from any venue where President Trump is present. It would not make a difference in their reporting, and they would be safe in their cubbyholes!” —South Carolina

Re: The Right’s Uncomfortable Reckoning With Morality

“While we’re on the subject of morality, let’s remember that making false accusations is every bit as reprehensible as the misbehavior alleged. The Law of Israel commanded that those making false accusations of a crime should suffer the same penalty accruing to that crime. If a politician seeks to destroy a rival with made-up tales of sexual immorality, his own reputation should be mud. After all, it takes a dirty mind to come up with such stories. And one who makes a false denial implies the accuser is lying, so it goes both ways.” —Minnesota

Re: Unpacking Trump’s Move on TPS for Haitians

“Why do I, as an American citizen, have a vested interest in keeping Haitians safe? A Biden-era decision to grant TPS does not indenture me to a lifetime of supporting third-worlders who do not assimilate. Temporary Protected Status should be just that: temporary. If 16 years isn’t enough time, how much will be? Haiti is a hellhole, and that’s terrible. Burkina Faso has been under military dictatorship for years. Somalia and Eritrea are hellholes as well. North Korea calls the months between winter and summer ‘the dying time.’ These are tragedies, but my duties and ‘vested interests’ lie with the American people over and above all other citizens of the world.” —Tennessee

“Their country will probably never become normalized, no matter how much more money we send and no matter how many of them we try to bring up to our standards. And what about the thousands of Haitians who ‘fled’ the safety of South America during Biden’s invasion? Emotional do-gooders disgust me.” —New York

“The U.S. is not a charity; it is a sovereign constitutional Republic whose laws must be enforced. Period. Sentimentality is suicidal empathy; it is deadly.” —Idaho

Re: FDA Strengthening Food Transparency Requirements

“Neither Congress nor an executive agency was intended to have unlimited power to regulate ‘whatever may affect interstate commerce.’ The power to ‘regulate commerce among the states’ was intended chiefly to keep states from engaging in protectionist practices, such as California’s demand that all pork be raised according to its regulations. Yet it is useful to have safety standards recognized nationally. Perhaps the answer is to require the FDA to submit any proposed changes to a food safety database to Congress for approval, and to ensure product liability lawyers have access to it. The report should include the biochemical data explained so even the public-schooled members can understand it.” —Minnesota

Re: Hating Capitalism, but Loving Free Enterprise?

“Capitalism and free markets are not identical, even if they overlap in practice. Free markets emphasize voluntary exchange — the absence of coercion. Capitalism historically and definitionally centers on private ownership of the means of production, with capital accumulation going to private owners (individuals, shareholders, or voluntary groups). Voluntary collective ownership is compatible with free markets and voluntary exchange, while government ownership of assets sits far less comfortably with a pure free-market framework because of compulsory consent.” —Vermont

Re: America’s Greatest Test Is Here

“While communism is primarily an economic and political threat, Islam is a murderous and relentless threat. Its religious book mandates the killing of unbelievers, and those killings are the only guarantees for a true Muslim to reach heaven. They will never give up.” —Washington
