Clinton's Wife's Trophies

Former and future presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to receive two awards as she keeps herself in the limelight.

Former and future presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to receive two awards as she keeps herself in the limelight. The Elton John Foundation announced plans to bestow the organization’s first Founder’s award upon Clinton, citing her 2011 speech in which she declared that “gay rights” are human rights. Clinton opposed same-sex marriage until it recently became taboo for Democrats to do so.

Meanwhile, Jeb Bush, chairman of the National Constitution Center, plans to present Clinton with the organization’s 2013 Liberty Medal on Sept. 10. As National Review’s Jim Geraghty quipped, “If Jeb Bush didn’t want to run for the Republican nomination, he could have just said so.”

Expect Clinton’s road to the White House to be littered with such meaningless awards.

It's Right. It's Free.
