Because the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program guidelines allow the purchase of “luxury items” such as soft drinks, energy drinks, candy, cookies, ice cream and even bakery cakes, super market chains with Starbucks in their stores are now accepting food stamp cards for their products.
