Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, Air Force chief of staff, revealed this week an interaction between American Air Force pilots and those of Iran.

Iranian F-4s were scrambled to intercept a U.S. MQ-1 drone probing the region. Unbeknown to the Iranians, we had F-22 in the same airspace, the stealthiest and deadliest aircraft in our inventory. As Gen. Welsch explained, “[The F-22 pilot] flew under their aircraft to check out their weapons load without them knowing that he was there, and then pulled up on their left wing and then called them and said ‘you really ought to go home.’” Without hesitation, they did.
