In the wake of the Navy Yard shooting, University of Kansas associate professor David Guth tweeted, “#NavyYardShooting The blood is on the hands of the #NRA. Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters. Shame on you. May God damn you.” Such vile words are all too common among “tolerant” extreme leftists.

When word spread of his hate-filled tweet, the University responded by punishing Guth. With paid vacation. After all, he has tenure.

Guth issued a statement regarding his punishment, and it was, well, less than contrite. “It is in it the best interests and peace of mind of our students that I remove myself from the situation and let cooler heads prevail. It is unfortunate that my comments have been deliberately distorted.”

That’s right – wish death on your ideological opponents, and then blame them when they find that disturbing and unworthy of a man on the public payroll.
