Amazingly, she could not even get this right when reading it from a script at the Center for American Progress (CAP). The reference in question is from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…”

Pelosi feigns having great knowledge of our founding documents. As you might recall, so knowledgeable is she that when asked if Obama’s plan to nationalize healthcare was Constitutional in 2009, she chastised the reporter for suggesting she needed to check the Constitution, responding curtly, “Are you serious? Are you serious?”
