Barack Obama, rather than negotiate with Republicans over the government shutdown, sat down for an interview and pondered the meaning of the Washington Redskins’ name. (A few loudmouth lefties are in an uproar over the supposed “racist” nature of the name.) Obama said, “I don’t know whether our attachment to a particular name should override the real legitimate concerns that people have about these things.” The people who wear a chip on their shoulders about such things should be ignored.
