The Statue of Liberty, another victim of Barack Obama’s government shutdown theatrics, opened once again Sunday when New York moved to pay for it. The state estimates the cost at about $61,600 per day, and they plan to reopen Liberty Island National Park through Oct. 17. If no resolution on the shutdown is reached by then, the state will renegotiate. Governors in other states have also moved to reopen national parks after Obama spent money and resources blocking them off.
