Commemorating the one year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy Tuesday, Barack Obama issued a statement, saying, “Over the past year, my Administration has fought for these [hard hit] communities throughout the response, and the federal government will remain by their side as our fellow citizens rebuild.” He added, “That’s who we are as Americans – we take care of our own.
